“Hits a triple”

The Mark Hopkins offers great hotel service, a great location where one cable car line is at the front door and the other half a block away, and the Top of the Mark where in the morning you can have a great breakfast, at night you can find entertainment, and anytime a spectacular view.

“Very Good Hotel”

Hotel is located on the top of Nob Hill on California and Mason Streets. Trollies are located on Powell which is down the 70degree hill and another trolley which run right past the hotel. The location is clean and free of the homeless. Fairmont hotel is right across the street. The main street which is Powell will take you to Union and Market streets and in the other direction it will take you to Hyde. If you take the trolley on California you can get to China Town. This hotel is very kid friendly ...meaning the staff goes out of their way to make them comfortable. The Concierge will recommend some great restaurants which are not filled with tourists. If it wasn't for the hills I would go back to San Francisco and stay at this hotel without hesitation.

“Our Favorite San Francisco Hotel”

Absolutely first rate in every way. Great, responsive service, knowledgeable staff, terrific location right on a cable car line so it's an easy and fun ride to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39.

“Great Hotel”

We stayed 6 days and it was great. The hotel is very nice. The room is very spacious and the bed was very comfortable We rented a car with the concierge and the service was great. The staff was very friendly. We stayed at a 2nd floor and we could hear the calbe car the whole night until 12am. I would recomend to stay at a upper level.

“Great time @ the Mark Hopkins”

Staying at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins was a fantastic experience. The Hotel's location is ideal for first time visitors, everything was really close by, and several cable car routes pass right by the hotel. It is a safe neighborhood to walk by night. I did not get to experience the food and the view from the Top of the Mark, because it was closed. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and will definitely choose it myself again.

“Historic SF with a Modern Feel”

Great location - right on the cable car line. It is a historic old hotel that doesn't show any wear and tear. Great view, especially from the "Top of the Mark" restaurant on the top floor. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in SF. It's a little way off Market, but your concierge can steer you to some great restaurants in the neighborhood. Since its on the top of the hill, I wouldn't recommend walking there from the Bart. However, if you are travelling light and like to walk, it's just a quick roll downhill to the Bart stop on your way back to the airport.
