“Wonderful Stay”

The staff was consistently courteous and helpful. THe hotel is quiet beautiful in an old-fashioned way. It is clean and quiet. Only two complaints; Need better reading lights in the rooms and the bed was sometimes hard to negotiate and I could not figure out why. Best: They have 24-hour free computer availability.

“Would definitely go back”

I stayed here for 3 nights after a conference. The staff and particularly the concierge Ruben were unusually helpful and made my stay wonderful.

“Perfect Location for San Francisco”

The Kensington Park Hotel is located right on Union Square on the Powell Cable Car lines. The location was very convenient to major tourist attractions and the accomodations were clean and comfortable.

“O.K. Hotel”

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. However, I did not sleep well because of the noise coming from the street. The desk clerk said it was probably just the street cleaner - to me it sounded like construction was going on all night right under my window. Also, just 2 blocks away there are people in the street who said they were homeless - kinda scary for a girl from the midwest.

Area recommendations
Be sure to stay North and towards the East of Union Square. Not near as many homeless in the streets.

“Hotel with a Personal Touch in a Great Location”

I really wanted my sister & friend to enjoy their accommodation and when I read the reviews it sounded like the place to stay. It was beyond my expectations. We all loved it and were sad to leave. Loved the old style boutique feel it had. Staff were so nice and obliging. Room very clean and comfortable. Beds and linen were top - so comfy, looked and felt so warm and cosy. Location the best. Would definitely stay there again when in SF and no hesitation in recommending same.

Love Union Square area as it is central to shopping and so many other areas of interest.

“Hotel to stay in San Francisco”

It's not a 5-star hotel but it exceeded my expectations. The staff were really nice and hospitable. There was no room service but they readily gave us delivery brochures when asked. They also even checked out the nearby clubs (Ruby Skype) where we could head to in the night. The room was clean and there was free wireless internet. It was a good experience in Kensington Park Hotel. Oh and it is located in town so it was convenient for my friend and I to explore around.

Area recommendations
Union Square with loads of shopping. It's also a short drive down to Fisherman's Wharf which is one of the best places I've ever been to in America.
Must see
Fisherman's Wharf is a must-go place. I enjoyed strolling in the breeze and enjoying the jazz music at the place. There was also cheap but delicious steamed crab and clam chowder.

“Lovely hotel”

Great location. Starbucks around the corner. Easy access to cable cars and buses. We were able to walk to the ferry building in 15 minutes for a shuttle tour we booked and cable cars at the ferry building were good transportation to fisher mans wharf. I traveler with my 75 year old mother and she thought the beds were heaven. Very comfortable.
