“Great Location”
Value-priced older hotel, but clean and comfortable. Two blocks off Union Square. I use this hotel for business trips and intend to go back.
“Awful!!!! Don't stay at the King George!”
Room was small, shower was horrible... I will never stay there again.
“Free Internet & good location to Union Square and shopping”
For business in weekdays, free Internet is must. Then, this is a good location to Union Square and shopping for weekend. Decent service and clean is good!
“Quick weekend in SFO”
I recommend this Hotel, I went to SFO with my brother this weekend and I really enjoy the hotel, the room are enough to rest, is clean and el service is really kind.
“Cozy, simple”
The hotel is not the place to go when looking for luxurious and spacious accomodations. It does, however, feature a comfortable bed, courteous staff, and good quality (not to mention "green") bath soaps. It also boasts a convenient location, with Union Square, and its associated shops and sights, as well as the BART within short walking distance. For a slightly longer but still manageable trek, one can also walk to the Embarcadero. While unlikely to host King George himself, it's a fine place to rest while away from one's castle.
“We enjoyed ourselves yet overlooked the maintenance and room style.”
Liked the location for Union Square and trolley access. Nice, friendly Hotel maids and clerks. Extremely small rooms with non coordinated colors, creacked sink in bathroom. Has a nice newer bathroom off the main floor bar area. We really appreciated printing our airplane boarding passes on the guest computers.
“"Wheels Up--- San Francisco, CA"”
An excellent location! A nice hotel that felt warm and comfortable. Friendly staff. Three excellent 24-hour restaurants within a few mere feet of hotel entrance. Close to everything you might want to do while in San Francisco.
“expensively atrocious”
Entire hotel is super cramped. Bathroom fits one person and my bed had a huge depression in the middle of the mattress. My back hurt constantly while I was there. No HBO/Cinemax with the TV. Room was clean but I can't imagine that you can't do better for the price.
“The King of George”
I've stayed at a lot of places in San Francisco. Is this my favorite? No, but for what it was it was good. The location is 1 block from Union Square. When I went, my normal hotel was more than twice the price, and the others i've been to that I would want to return to were either booked or expensive as well. So, this isn't the fanciest place, but it is serviceable, and it isn't bad.
“not bad for the price”
A basic boutique hotel and a good value for the money. I was by myself so that helped because it would have been crowded in the small room for two people. Got a good workout climbing the stairs to the 6th floor because as mentioned in the other reviews the elevator was slow. Internet was poor so had to use my own wireless card. Comfortable bed, good location.
