“Great small hotel”

We have stayed at the King George 6 times over the past few years. It is a great small hotel. The staff at the hotel is always very efficient and pleasant. Rooms are small but very clean. There was a strike in progress at a hotel 1/2 a block away and it was a bit noisy late into the night.

“An Excellent Choice”

The hotel was clean and staff very friendly. Location was excellent being just a block from Union Square. Theaters and rental car agenices are within a blocks walking distance. Fine restaurants are within walking distance. I would go back in a heartbeat. Getting from the airport to Union Square was a matter of jumping on BART for a 30 minute ride. Could not have been easier.

“Very, very pleasant experience!!”

We stayed at the King George on New Year's Eve, and had a great experience. The room was immaculate, cozy, and very comfy. By american standards it may seem small, but it indeed offers plenty of space, plus a big walk-in closet, and large bathroom. Staff were professional and very personable. We would definitely stay there again.

“Great European Feel”

The location was terrific, just a few blocks from Union Square. Good restaurants close by. Everything within walking distance. Parking garage across the street. Staff very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

“Excellent Vacation Experience”

The hotel was located in a prime Union Square location, the front desk staff and the concierge were beyond helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The room was small, but very clean and the bed one of the best I've ever slept on in a hotel. Only a very short walk to Market Street and Powell Street cable car, and all the downtown shopping, easy to navigate the entire city. Great value in a great location. Will definitely stay there again.

“King George is a very good value”

The hotel is a great value based on its central location. It's old, but the rooms are not overly small and the whole atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff is great and helpful. Parking is expensive at the hotel, which is typical for its location.

“Great Value, Great Location”

Aside from rooms that are on the small side, you really can't beat this hotel as far as value for your money. It doesn't come with a whole lot of extra accomodations such as a pool or whirlpool tub, but it's right in the heart of San Francisco and it's easy to get to all of the major tourist attractions.

“A Best buy surrounding the union square area.”

compare to the rooms in those five star hotels, it's clean, comfort and cheap. Unless you need to show up your money, I'd say it's a best buy for its price around the union square.

“Friendly and convenient”

The hotel was conveniently located, great price for it's location, very clean, and the staff were very friendly.....loved the room, though small, very comfortable.....also convenient parking across the street, and it was affordable parking.....
