Pros: Location is great to everything downtown.
Cons: Change the elevators; too small.
Location: LOTS to do and convenient location.
enjoyed it; the elevator is VERY SMALL. We were glad to be on the 3rd floor so we could walk up and down the stairs.

Classic Hotel with Architectural HistoryPosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: History. There is a booklet in the room which talks about the history of the hotel. It is an example of amazing architectural history of San Francisco
Cons: Decor of lobby may be upgraded. It is okay - could be better.
Location: Walking distance from Union Square. Perfect for shopping.d
I passed by this hotel many times - this was the first time to stay here. Of course this is not the modern high-rise hotel like some others around the corner and it has its won charm. Compared to other older hotels in the neighborhood, this hotel has been updated recently and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I got what I needed in timely manner. It is a 100 years old building and does not have air-conditioning. The ceiling fan works very well and it was very comfortable. In San Francisco, you don't need air-conditioner except for a couple days in mid summer. Many houses in San Francisco do not have air-conditioner.

Staff was great. Good location.Posted Jul 20, 2015
The staff was very helpful and pleasent. Our room was nice. We did find a large black hair in our bed that didn't belong to us and the elevator was very small and over used by staff. A small refrigerator would have been nice or at least ice on our floor

Holiday on way Home from Wedding elsewhere in USPosted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Location!, clean well presented rooms, in house bar for end of day wind down/pre-dinner planning, friendly accommodating staff. Free Wi-Fi!
Location: Its all here for your SF experience, shopping, eating, theatres, sightseeing etc, great mid priced hotel in a good location with a personality.
Great mid range hotel option close to Union Square & Market St shopping precincts & transport options (cable cars etc). Booked 2 rooms. & both as per booking. Rooms are small as advertised but not uncomfortably so. Rooms facing street can be noisy so if not used to that (we are) may pay to request elsewhere in hotel. Excellent location for embarking on cable car & open top bus trips. Easy walk to F line street cars on Market to get to Pier 39 etc. Range of eating out locations from diners to bistros all within 1 block.but its not the cheapest eating out area. Loved the Hotel & ambiance & will be back.

Cozy hotel in a very convenient locationPosted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: location and staff
Location: tourist sight seeing
Overall a very pleasant experience with King George Hotel. A cute Victorian building, very friendly staff and great location, very convenient for traveling to various tourist sites in town. Only downside is the wifi, lived on the 9th floor, somehow the wifi was very weak in the room, couldn't get connected.
