The staff is the worst! The hotel itself is fine I love San Francisco I enjoy the area around the hotel. There's a great bar right around the way it's called Ace's the bartenders and people in there were awesome, But as for the staff at the hotel they are mean and rude. I hate when people are mean and rude like that when I'm traveling it's a bummer. :( Just treat people the way you would like to be treated.

Nice room bad staffPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: the room condition
Overall the room condition was pretty good (given the price). The hotel is a bit far away to the city center and the main shopping area. The staff was terrible- not very helpful and i saw one lady staff shouting at the hotel guest.

Cons: AC ,better tv

$80 was what we paid for a same day rate. Community bathroom and sink in room. It's not your luxurious hotel, more like hostel...but ran by a nice family. No bedbugs. Decent.

Close accesibility to public transportationPosted Jul 27, 2014
It is an old, run down hotel that we stayed at only because it was the cheapest for the location. Rm smelled old and moldy and it triggered my husband's allergies and ruined our last days in SF. Should have payed more for another hotel so my hubby wouldn't have been sick. Will never stay there again.

Stay far awayPosted Jul 4, 2014
The saying "you get what you pay for" hits head on. Take my advice and spend the extra $30 to stay somewhere decent. The staff here was wonderful and very helpful, that was about it. Room was old, dusty and dirty feeling. Very small. Sheets appeared to not have been washed. Small stair well and hallways. SPEND THE EXTRA $$ TO STAY SOMEWHERE COMFORTABLE !!!!!

Good budget hotel in great locationPosted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: Price, cleanliness, location, helpfulness of staff
Cons: Dated decor
Location: 5 blocks to Union square and near cable cars. On bus route. You can also walk to china town if you fancy a longer walk
Good price, great location. Staff friendly and have very good local knowledge. Room small, dated decor but very very clean and ensuite with bath. Room had a fridge and microwave, hairdryer, iron and board. A grab and go breakfast is included which is basically coffee and pastries but loads of breakfast places nearby. We have booked to stay here again in a week on our return to San Fran.
