Good deal

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Older hotel, good if your looking to save some money over the rates on the wharf or union square. May look a little sketchy from outside but the room itself was like new, except for the washroom which was a little old school but was fine. Overall great value.

Halloween Night hotel

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: The room was decent sized, not too cramped.
Cons: The elevator was very small. And the coffee machine didnt turn on.
Location: North Beach, bars, restaurants.
My friends and I stayed at the Motel Capri so that we could enjoy a responsible night out on Halloween. Motel Capri is close to Union St and Lombard, both very popular streets for the Halloween bar crawl. It was the perfect location. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Definitely recommend if looking for an inexpensive place in this part of SF.

2nd time here!

Posted Nov 5, 2014
Pros: The staff was pretty helpful and friendly.
Cons: More towels.
Location: Excellent location, too many things to do near by. Resturants are within minutes of walking distance
This was our 2nd time staying here. I would recommend again. Shops, resturants and the Pier is pretty close within walking distance. Only problem was getting towels. Other than that, very good.

Motel Capri

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: I really liked the location and the comfort of our room.
Cons: Having thicker walls would have been nicer; we had noisy neighbors.
Location: The location was great. There are many restaurants and shops to attend nearby, some are even walking distance.
We stayed two nights at this location and we enjoyed them both. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this location to a friend.

Hotel close to the Fisherman's wharf

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The confort of the bed and the cleanliness of the room
Location: It is a walking distance for Fisherman's Wharf which was a plus. Good for a short stay., but quite expensive.
The room was clean, the bed very confortable, but I was disappointed by the appearance of the building.

Great little motel

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Cost for the city and neighbourhood
Cons: Modernise reception
Stayed 3nights. Immaculately clean. Fantastic comfortable beds. Nice neighbourhood and appx 20 mins walk to fisherman wharf. Would highly recommend this but be prepared to stay out all day rather than pop back to the hotel to get changed for the evening. This is both to do with the 20 minute walk and there being so much to do in the city. However this should definatley not put you off.

Was expecting the basics at least...

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Cons: Please renovate the bathroom so it's functional. Oh and the shower is tricky to use as you have to pull down on the faucet spout to turn it out.
Ok, I know this is a motel but some basic things would have been nice to have: - towels available upon check-in. Was told they were still doing their laundry and wouldn't have towels until late afternoon. This happened on both days that we were there. - general cleanliness or the appearance of it. I dropped something on the floor and when I looked under the nightstand there was a dirty cotton swab there. I opened the nightstand drawers and there was somebody's pennies and nickels scattered about. I opened the dresser drawer and somebody's hotel receipt and other papers were left there. A broken hanger was left on the floor in the closet. - a towel rack. There was absolutely no place to hang a hand towel or bath towel. I ended up hanging a bath towel on the shower rod to use as my towel rack. - A drain that works. The drain was very slow moving and about an inch of water built up before it started to drain slowly. - Wifi if the hotel states it! Managed to get wifi for about 1 minute to send an email but that was it for my entire stay. Does not work so don't depend on it. The positives are that it is a decent location to shops and restaurants and because the air conditioner was so loud, it drowned out any outside noise and we got a pretty good sleep!

You get what you pay for

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Travelling from Australia we found a typical motel. Smallish rooms. But comfortable and clean. Breakfast is simple but adequate. Motel staff are not rude but dont extend themselves. It is some distance from Fishermans wharf but walkable and very close to a nice restaurant/cafe district. Overall we where not dissappointed...if you want a bigger room, more services, closer to attractions, or nicer decor, than expect to pay much more
