Hotel close to the Fisherman's wharf

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The confort of the bed and the cleanliness of the room
Location: It is a walking distance for Fisherman's Wharf which was a plus. Good for a short stay., but quite expensive.
The room was clean, the bed very confortable, but I was disappointed by the appearance of the building.

Great little motel

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Cost for the city and neighbourhood
Cons: Modernise reception
Stayed 3nights. Immaculately clean. Fantastic comfortable beds. Nice neighbourhood and appx 20 mins walk to fisherman wharf. Would highly recommend this but be prepared to stay out all day rather than pop back to the hotel to get changed for the evening. This is both to do with the 20 minute walk and there being so much to do in the city. However this should definatley not put you off.

Was expecting the basics at least...

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Cons: Please renovate the bathroom so it's functional. Oh and the shower is tricky to use as you have to pull down on the faucet spout to turn it out.
Ok, I know this is a motel but some basic things would have been nice to have: - towels available upon check-in. Was told they were still doing their laundry and wouldn't have towels until late afternoon. This happened on both days that we were there. - general cleanliness or the appearance of it. I dropped something on the floor and when I looked under the nightstand there was a dirty cotton swab there. I opened the nightstand drawers and there was somebody's pennies and nickels scattered about. I opened the dresser drawer and somebody's hotel receipt and other papers were left there. A broken hanger was left on the floor in the closet. - a towel rack. There was absolutely no place to hang a hand towel or bath towel. I ended up hanging a bath towel on the shower rod to use as my towel rack. - A drain that works. The drain was very slow moving and about an inch of water built up before it started to drain slowly. - Wifi if the hotel states it! Managed to get wifi for about 1 minute to send an email but that was it for my entire stay. Does not work so don't depend on it. The positives are that it is a decent location to shops and restaurants and because the air conditioner was so loud, it drowned out any outside noise and we got a pretty good sleep!

You get what you pay for

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Travelling from Australia we found a typical motel. Smallish rooms. But comfortable and clean. Breakfast is simple but adequate. Motel staff are not rude but dont extend themselves. It is some distance from Fishermans wharf but walkable and very close to a nice restaurant/cafe district. Overall we where not dissappointed...if you want a bigger room, more services, closer to attractions, or nicer decor, than expect to pay much more

Motel Capri = Disappointment

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: WIFI Ant infestation Quicker maid service
Location: Fisherman's Wharf Union Square Golden Gate Bridge
The motel was situated in a good part of San Fran with super easy access by bus and taxi to get to many of the tourist spots, such as Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square and AT&T park. However, the motel itself was disappointing overall. The WIFI connection was terrible and never worked during our stay, the vending machine didn't work, and the staff weren't overly friendly. The room was pretty clean, however there were many ants running throughout the bathroom area. Although this wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed in, I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Good value

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Location and price
Cons: WiFi and walls are SO thin that it is noisy all the time
Location: Great little neighborhood bar a block away (The Blue Light) and most everything is not too far. Safe neighborhood, too.
Good room for the price. However, walls are paper-thin and it is noisy. WiFi iffy at best. Continental breakfast was minimal. But room was clean and comfortable and location is good. If you are deaf and don't need wifi, this is the perfect SF hotel.

Motel Capri - A Traveler's Destination

Posted Sep 22, 2014
A modern retreat in the heart of San Fransisco. With plenty to do on Lombard street, and located right off the 101, Motel Capri is a perfect destination in San Fran.

Does the job if you are want something cheap

I guess it was OK for the price, but I won't go back... I am used to more luxury and better service than this...
