“Half Moon Bay in winter, short trip”
we stopped in HMB for two nights, as a time killer, based on some family/friend plans at Thanksgiving which did not happen, needed to kill a couple of nights prior to SFO flight.
researched HMB accomodations, B&B and hotels, as it was a 2 night stay, preferred a B&B.
the OTI appeared to be among the top 5 or so, and is close to the 'downtown' area.
there is not as much in the 'downtown' as anticipated, but we did walk to dinner one night and spent a couple of hours walking around the retail spots.
the OTI is almost exactly as the web site represents, no surprises.
that said, this is our first time at an 'old style' B&B, usually stay at newer locations with larger rooms and more modern walk in showers.
IF you love the old stand alone tubs with a shower curtain on a pipe ring around the tub, you will like this place.
IF you like more modern, walk in showers (as do I), seek another location.
Breakfast company enjoyable (as we find at most B&B spots).
Breakfast food was adequate, not up to the gourmet standards we have experience elsewhere.
and ... California is a high cost state, so my views of value are prejudiced to locations east of there.
