“We enjoyed the Palace”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palace.
“Palace Hotel”
this is one of San Francisco's traditional historical hotels, it is worthy of a five star rating
“Close to BART”
Very nice and close to BART
“Excellent value in 5-star hotel”
We have stayed here on New Year's Eve 2006. We have chosen it over other 5-star hotels based on reputation, facilities and location. We were able to book our room at almost one half the cost of other 5-star properties available that night. We have not used any of the other services at the hotel but were extremely happy with the room and the check -in / check out service. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
“A very good value, will be back!”
We didn't know what to expect before we arrived and we were very suprised. From the friendly greeting at the front desk, the nice sized rooms by old hotel standards, the great bar and accomodating concierge service, it was an all around A+.
“Can't wait to go back”
The Palace Hotel was fantastic on every count. The room was great, the historic, sunny lobby was beautiful, the pub was great fun, the location was perfect. There was even a lap pool (indoor!), Jacuzzi and gym. We're going back again and again!
“Very nice hotel”
Room was a tad on the small side, and that's pretty much there is on the "con" side. Other than that, the Palace is exactly like its name implies--very nice and grand throughout. Me and my wife particularly enjoyed the use of the swimming pool, sauna, pool, and gym--very relaxing stay!
“Great choice - will return!”
Great location, close to all downtown shopping, lots of small restaurants, BART, cable car, all other transit. Restaurant & bar were expensive but excellent, perhaps to try at least once! Room was luxurious and comfortable. Our only complaint was a running toilet & bathroom fan. We obtained an early check-in and late check-out with no problem. All staff were helpful and always available. We will definitely return.
“Excellence at it's best!”
I will be staying at this hotel again the next time I am in San Francisco. The hotel staff is very attentive to detail and I was very impressed with the dining hall. It is a truly inspiring roomfull of early 19th century design. AAA+++
“Great 4-star hotel in the Union square area”
We stayed two nights, in a two-twins room (they have no two-queen bed rooms). First they offered us quite a small room, I asked to change to a bigger one as we had our kid with us. The second room was very spacious. The hotel is very classy, clean and the location is excellent, right in the Union Square district. The sports facilities were 5-Star, I liked the indoor pool very much. The dining hall with the glass roof is fenomenal! A lot of people come just to take a picture. If I am in SF again, I'm staying only in the Palace!
