Will not stay in Union Square again.Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Good location right next to cable cars and good shopping if that's your thing.
Cons: Provide a Coffee Bar for free for guests.
Location: Restaurants are good, and cable car transportation is good.
Extremely Loud. Sirens, tons of street noise and a very loud nightclub right below us. When the party was done inside it moved to the street right below our window. Very disturbing. It did not quiet down until after 2AM. Not necessarily the hotels fault, but bad none-the-less. Rooms were very oddly shaped. Confirmation had a King but wound up with single Queen. Also every little thing came with a price. Parking was very high. The hotel would not even provide a cup of coffee in the lobby in the morning for free. And wifi was very expensive.

Business Hotel, great locationPosted Mar 6, 2014
The hotel is a typical US business hotel completed to a high standard - it is also a good base for tourists too.The room wirh a view on upper floor has some great views of the city - recommend!

This is one of several Union Square hotels that I frequently use, depending on the price available. This is one of my favorites. It is convenient and a comfortable hotel.

Nice Hotel....Great LocationPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, LOCATION, Great Staff, Great Service My Wife a & Kids loved it. It was close to the UCSF Kidney transplant Clinic!!!
Cons: Parking is a little pricey, but hey its SAN FRANCISCO...I understand that the parking is third party, but why not offer free wi-fi
Location: The location is excellent, the Rasputin music is right around the corner and so is Union Square. Location don't get no better than this!!!!!!
Well first off the Park 55 hotel was awesome from appearance, location, to the service. It was a little pricey after the ($55.00 parking fee) but from the minute we pulled up to Valet the service that the hotel provided was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little extra cash, but believe me the location and the service make it all well worth it......
Languishing hotel staffPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Fast check-in.
Cons: Employ people who are good problem solvers, know how to be gracious, and have decent manners.
Location: San Francisco. Great city but hotel not in good place for taxis.
The taxi line was terrible. We were near the front at the dinner hour and still waited 45 minutes. Hotel staff said there was nothing to be done. (I had been told when checking in that cabs came by all the time) There was an impatient, growing line on a stormy evening with people jostling for cabs. The man hired to whistle for the cabs was very ineffective and didn't stop people who were not waiting their place in line. A nice gesture would have been for someone from the staff to come out, apologize to their guests, and perhaps offer coffee or wine while we waited. In the morning, we called for our vehicle. It arrived quickly, which was appreciated. However, the man stood by the front door of the vehicle, holding it open, and staying stationary himself, as my very pregnant daughter and I (a senior female) loaded our luggage by ourselves, and I opened the passenger door for her. Not only is that bad service but very poor manners.

Lazy staff and expensive add-ins.Posted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: Staff helpfulness, annoying additional costs.
Upon arrival none of the 5 staff members in the lobby opened the door as I wrangled my luggage. On the way out I wanted to check my bag, and the bellman acted as though this were an inconvenience. What is his job? I had to pay $1 for a local call. The Internet was over $10. Given the cost of the room, these additional charges are ridiculous. There are many similar hotels in this area of SF, pick one of those.

Too many add on costsPosted Feb 25, 2014
Location: good location walking distance to Union Square
This is a nice hotel. The problem is that everything is an added cost. Parking at the hotel for overnight is over 50 bucks, internet use in room is $12, etc., etc. @ friends and I had 2 drinks each at the hotel bar, $100!. The location is great but bring some cash you need to tip everyone!

Thank you for sharing your stay with us. I apologize your experience was less than excellent. Parking is an expensive amenity in San Francisco and I can assure you our rates are competitive with the surrounding hotel in Union Square. We do offer complimentary WiFi in our lobby and have a free boarding pass printer kiosk at the concierge desk however there is an additional fee in the hotel room with the exception of our premier view rooms. We are very sorry if these fees came as a surprise, we appreciate your feedback, thank you again for letting us know.
Horrible stayPosted Feb 24, 2014
I booked 2 rooms for me and my brother, but when we get there could get but one room, when asked for refund they refuse to give me a refund, so they took my money, and the staff was very rude about it, never stay there again...
