Hotel is two block from Fisherman's Wharf and it is very convenient to restaurants and transportation. It is also within walking distance to excellent Italian restaurants, Lombard Street, Coit Tower, Ferry Building and China town. We took a bus to get us to Union Square and Market Street. We took another bus to go to Golden Gate bridge for a walk on the bridge. The hotel concierge service was extremely helpful in making suggestions for our trips to the Muir Woods and the wine country. The only downside is that since it is in a prime tourist location, many eateries are quite expensive. We learned after a few days to find food that is more affordable.

Good location to the Wharf

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Bedding and Staff
I wasn't sure what to think since I had never heard of this hotel before (because it used to be the Hilton). It was clean and the staff were so helpful. It is a little older, but so are most on the Wharf. Our room was quite a walk from the lobby, but it was quiet and the bedding was wonderful. I would stay here again. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to see on the Wharf.

Comfy bed with clean bathroom

Posted Aug 19, 2014
The hotel had friendly, attentive staff. The hotel itself is clean and fashionable upon entering, but has musty old smelly hallways. The propane burners in the courtyard had no propane for our entire stay. The carpet is in desperate need of replacing, along with the furniture. It all feels very shabby. The beds are fantastic and clean. The walls seem old and stained. It was a very eclectic mix.

Location: Fisherman's Wharf is located approximately 1 block from the hotel. There are many restaurants located within walking distance.
The hotel is located 1 block from Fisherman's Wharf in an excellent location. The staff at the hotel are friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. The room was large, nicely furnished and comfortable. The concierge was very nice and helped us plan our day trips. Her recommendations were excellent. One of the amenities that is offered is coffee and tea in the mornings.

Good hotel close to Fishermans Wharf

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Close to Fishermans Wharf and good size clean bedroom.
Cons: Parking in carpark attached to hotel rather expensive ($40 a night self park - $50 valet park). However parking was expensive all round hotel
Location: Fishermans Wharf, Pier 39, boat trip to Alcatraz is a must. Go on a cable car but not if you are in a hurry. Golden Gate bridge not far by car or bike
The hotel was clean and the rooms spacious enough for two double beds with a separate ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Only criticism was that we had an outside room and the street was quite noisy in the early hours of the morning (either deliveries or bin men). Hotel staff (with one exception) were helpful and friendly. We did not try the hotel breakfast but opted for Denny's in the next door Holiday Inn instead as well as other eateries around Fishermans Wharf (only 10 mins walk from hotel to pier 39)
