Great staff, great service, character hotel.

“Absolutely would go back”

Hotel staff were very friendly and attentive- loved the homemade cookies;also complimentary wine every evening! Location was terrific-short walk to Union Square and all the fabulous shopping and dining there; also short walking distance from Chinatown and theatres.

“Excellent hotel, excellent location”

The Prescott is 2 minutes walk from Union Square and the cable car stop, so you are right in the heart of everything. There are many restaurants and bars around, and the shopping is great!! The staff at the hotel were brilliant, so helpful and nothing was a problem for them. This hotel is in a fantastic location, but it is so peaceful you could never tell you were in the middle of the city. I will definitely stay here again!

“Would highly recommend”

We loved this hotel! It is conveniently located and the entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We especially liked the complimentary wine and beer every evening.

“Quality and Service”

The quality of the hotel was top notch. The location was very good...walkable distance to BART, cable cars, and buses (we didn't rent a car all week). The rooms we very well decorated and comfortable, with my only knock that the pillows were a bit too thin. Free Wireless was handy. The service was excellent - the front desk, concierge service, maids, Postrio restaurant adjoined, etc. - all polite, friendly, and helpful. They even had a complimentary happy hour with free Anchor Steam and wine (shiraz and chardonnay). Recommend.

“Great vacation”

Loved the hotel. Only problems were no coffee maker in the room & ice was by request only as staff had to bring it. I would have been more comfortable getting it myself when I wanted it. Coffee was available in lounge each morning- not handy. Wine reception each evening was nice and gave us a chance to visit with other guests. Bed was comfortable with great pillows. Very quiet room for sleeping- but no view (unless you like brick walls). Not a problem, as while in SF, you want to be out and about. Best of all was the staff. One of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered.

“Can't wait to go back”

Very friendly and helpful staff. This was a honeymoon trip and we had a wonderful time. The hotel was very close to Union Square, Cable Cars and the BART. We really enjoyed our stay! When to travel to San Fran again we will stay here :)

“Special Place”

The Prescott "People" went above and beyond! This is a very special hotel and very conveniently located. We have always been in the habit of leaving a tip for the housekeeping staff. This is the first time, we received a "thank you" hand-written note in response! Our only negative was having to call the front desk any time we wanted a bucket of ice!

“reacquainted”

After deciding to meet up with a friend who I hadn't seen in years, we decided on the prescott after looking at many hotels. We are glad we did. It was conveniently located for what we wanted to do and the hotel staff was always happy to answer questions. The complimentary wine/cocktail hour that was included with our room was a nice touch and definitely worth taking advantage of. Although the room was somewhat small for the price, it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The memories that we made were due in part to the enjoyment of the stay at the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and hope that they would have as good as time as we did.

“good deal and comfortable room near Union Square”

The room was great, location was central to lots of interesting things in SF, and the price was terrific to boot, so overall a very good experience. I spent most of my non-waking hours out of the hotel so I didn't partake in too many room and hotel amenities, but what service I saw was good.
