Ok

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: I liked that it was more of a boutique hotel than a massive one.
Cons: The attitude of the front desk.
Location: It is very close to Union Square.
I felt the staff really did not care about us. When we did not get the room we booked they just kind of looked at us like it was no big deal. it was odd. They did finally accommodate us with the club services and said that expedia would comp me the first nights stay.

Wow it seems like we missed the mark and the service that most of our guests come to know when they come to the Prescott. I was very saddened to hear that you didn't experience this. I hope that you give us another shot so that we can show you what we can do.

Downtown San Francisco

Pros: Location
If SF wasn't so expensive I would stay somewhere else. I've stayed in better and worse in SF.

Close by union square

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: We like pretty much everything.
Cons: Maybe the heater as it was noisy.
Location: Union square, 20 min walk to North beach or Japan town (great restaurants).
Very clean & nice hotel also close by union square. In the evening they have free wine for 1 hour. This was for my birthday and overall both my husband and I really enjoyed our stay.

A great experience at a classic SF hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: nothing
Location: Union square. Japantown is about 9 blocks away.
Was a little skeptical b/c the rate was cheaper than many others. But such a great experience. Location is awesome. The staff were really awesome - everyone from the valet to the happy hour guy, the breakfast guy, the front desk - all were SO nice. Really just unpretentious and so helpful in everyway. Very warm. The room was small but very clean and updated and very nice bedding (very important to me). Very comfortable. All the extras really make it - free fresh baked cookies by the fire, free cocktails at happy hour reception (club level) and awesome free breakfast (again, club level). Cannot recommend more highly.

quiet, just off union square

Posted Jul 29, 2014
We stayed in the club level of the Prescott. daily breakfast and wine. The beds were incredibly comfortable, we slept very well, it was quiet, we faced the back, no noise at all. The shower's water flow was incredible, room in great shape, plenty of room for 2 people. The location was great, just a few blocks from BART, so easy to get to the hotel on public transportation, no need for a car in the city. Even the city map the hotel has is well labelled with the trolley, and public transportation lines on it.

Great place, but needs coffee in room!

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness/ambience
Cons: Coffee in room
Location: SHOPPING and EATING!
Everything about the hotel was great. They do clean the room everyday and very well. Room was extremely clean with nice amenities. Only problem....no coffee maker in the room!

Thank you for the great response. We appreciate all the great things you have to say about us. I am truly sorry that it wasn't told to you that coffee makers are available upon request. I will make sure the front desk makes it known to more of our guests. Thanks again!

Nice hotel in central location

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Location, room and most of the staff.
Cons: The attitude of the woman staff member mentioned above on our second day.
Location: Location perfect for all our needs - Union Square, shopping, Ferry Terminal (we went to Saulcilito)
Location was excellent. One disappointment however: > I had contacted the hotel before leaving NZ to request an extended stay (as our international flight was not leaving until the evening). The hotel (or expedia...not sure) - did not respond. > I requested again on our sign in to be told that this could "only be arranged on the day in question - but as there was a light loading we should be ok". The staff on this occasion were very pleasant. > So on the next day, we made our request only to be told that the hotel was "fully booked and that we would need to leave by 12pm". The manner in which this was delivered was very unpleasant so we insisted and finally this staff member relented. This event did spoil our otherwise pleasant stay at the Prescott.

Hello Gary, Thank you for your review and feedback. We are certainly disappointed that we did not respond the second time with more accommodating service to your check out request. I have brought this to our new Front Office Manager's attention and the staff so that we don't have our guests having to ask twice for this request. Cheers,

Shucks it seems like we didn't handle that situation very well. Thank you for letting us know so we can make this right in the future. It pleases me to know that this issue didn't spoil your good thoughts about us. Thanks again! We hope to see you soon!

Great location in the city.

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The staff was pleasant and very helpful.
Cons: I guess having breakfast included would be nice but we made out okay with the Walgreens down a few blocks.
Location: Union Square and tours are close by. There is a mall 3 blocks away which we visited almost every day.
It was a perfect location in the city. Next time we might skip the rental car.
