Excellent location BUT major construction going on

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Need to improve their none existent facilities
Location: Excellent location with a 2 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and sightseeing buses
This is a perfectly located hotel but with the major renovations going on they have NO facilities. There is a temporary lobby with very friendly staff, no breakfast, lunch or dinner options. There is also no bar in the hotel which is essential nowadays to have a glass of wine and perhaps a sandwich. The room was nice but construction started at 7am every morning so just as well we have sightseeing to do.

Great Location with Issues

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Major construction is underway
Location: Alcatraz, the Piers, Restaurants, the Bay, and many modes of transportation were convenient to this location.
The hotel enjoys a great location close to Pier 39 but due to renovations there were no amenities, not even a lobby to relax in since a new lobby is under construction. The staff was very friendly and responsive but the issues are out of their control. One of our main concerns had to do with the brand new TV that had remote control issues that could not be rectified by maintenance during our 5 night/6 day stay. "We are still getting the kinks out, " was an employee's answer. It appears that they rushed the room renovations and they are not completed yet but are being used. EG- We had only one mirror in the room. The mirror over the sink.

Hotel en remodelacion!

Posted Feb 28, 2015
No vale la pena quedarse en este hotel, sino hasta que este remodelado! Muy caro para lo que ahora te puede ofrecer. Hay muchos ptros hoteles por la zona con el mismo o mejor precio!

Not Great

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: The location near fishermans wharf is perfect and why we booked it.
Cons: We should have been informed that the hotel was under a total renovation before we booked.
Location: Fishermans Wharf speaks for itself!
The hotel was under renovation and our room was within the renovation area with construction beginning early so no sleep-in for sure. Unfortunately we were not told ahead of time before booking. The phone didn't work and room was very small with an uncomfortable bed.

In front of beach (Pier 39)

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Location: Pier 39.
The view is excellent. The room was just remodeled and looks wonderful. The whole 4th floor was also remodeled as it gets painted with interesting pictures well. The only thing that was not perfect was that the hotel was in progress of construction for some floors and elevators, so it was a little bit noisy in the morning and smelly in some area. Oh BTW, the parking fee was $50 per day which is quite expensive...

Hotel was undergoing a major renovation.

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: The staff was very acommodating. The housekeepers did a great job too.
Cons: The hotel experience will be better after they finish renovating.
Location: Easy walking distance to all areas of Fisherman's Wharf.
Most of the hotel was undergoing renovation and was difficult for staff and guests. We chose to stay in one of the new rooms, just renovated. It looked ultra modern and room did not have all the bugs worked out yet. The style of decor seemed artistic but cold. Not my taste. There was only one nightstand for our king size bed. Pretty inconvenient when you want to set a drink down and you're on the other side. Bathroom sink faucet was so short for the fancy sink that it was hard to wash hands and not splatter water all over.
