Parking onsitePosted Jul 1, 2015
Myself and my partner spent a 3 day weekend at the Royal Pacific. Not the best part of town but it suited us to be close to the Saloon on Grant. Nice enough hotel but the main selling point is the onsite parking. A real bonus in San Francisco. Would certainly stay here again.

Inferior motel. Out of date in every way.Posted Jun 19, 2015
Very disappointing. Motel is out of step with even lower level facilities. Mold in the shower/tub, large cracks in the sink, cigarette holes in bed blanket (non smoking room, very old tube tv, 4 channels, no cable, noisy, rude staff. Will never return

Good staff; good location.Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: Staff, location.
Cons: Free refridgerators!
Location: Restaurants, bars, tourist spots & some "Girlie Joints" (if that's your thing)!
Very helpful, friendly staff. Good location in Chinatown within walking distance of Little Italy, Fishermans Wharf (20 mins). Short walk to Washington Square to get on tour buses etc. Old motel but room was fine - but a bit noisy at front overlooking street. Refridgerators have to be hired though (USD$10-12). Loads of restaurants of all kinds nearby. Value for money!

Decent for the costPosted May 31, 2015
You get what you pay for in San Francisco. Facility was old and overall experience was so-so. Considering the price for other hotels in the area though, I would consider staying here again. As I said the hotel was old, but overall was fairly clean and I was comfortable enough when in the room.

Fair Compromise Between SF Prices and Hotel 'BlingPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: 1. Safe 2. Quiet 3. Great bed 4. Location 5. Price
Cons: As other customer's commented, they could spruce up the outside more--paint the hotel, improve the sign, ramp up the interior of the lobby/rooms.
Location: About a mile to Market Street but also many buses to catch. Interesting area. Being there for Sunday morning market in Chinatown was very cool. Fun.
It doesn't have any, so if you want accoutrements, you will not find them here. Any other place but San Francisco, this place would be a semi-high class dive but in SF, it is a reasonable compromise between fanciness and comfort. Opts out more for comfort. The room was pretty clean but what amazed me what how quiet it was. I had a room in the interior of the hotel, facing the parking lot. I got a great night's sleep. I also requested a quiet room and when I got there, instead of ignoring my request when I reserved the room, they were totally on top of it. I am so used to being ignored--you know how when you reserve a room and put a comment then when you check in, nobody even bothered to pay attention to it? Not here. They were totally on top of it and had already assigned me a quiet room and indeed, it was. I was also very pleased w/ the quality of the bed, which is completely personal preference, but it was a nice firm mattress. The sheets were clean, no bedbugs (I checked!). Only issue was w/ TV remote but if your priority is watching TV while there, maybe re-think your trip! Location is good. Chinatown. Felt very safe. Walked everywhere. Price= ridiculous any place else than downtown SF but it was ok considering and it was Memorial Day wkd. About $150/night. Remember taxes in SF add another 20% to your bill!!! Re:$$$$-- rec: if you can, stay outside the downtown area and use the mass transit system. I couldn't do this because of time constraints. Overall=OK

Not for peaceful sleeping. 1960 Aged conditionPosted May 19, 2015
Pros: View of Coit Tower. Staff pleasing, but English is second language.
Cons: Total Renovation.
Location: Close to Chinatown, North Beach. 2 short blocks to Bus route to Fisherman's wharf. Location is heavily traveled artery of the City.
Not updated. Cracked sink. Lights burned out. Tiny shower. Very old furnishings. 19 in. TV with 10 local channels all grainy. THERE WAS NO HEAT THE FIRST NIGHT OF STAY. Engineer fixed small wall unit (decades old) the next morning. NONSTOP NOISE (24 hrs.) from Broadway, major artery for commuters & delivery drivers.

Clean and safe hotel in ChinatownPosted May 19, 2015
Pros: location. free wifi. clean and safe.
Cons: Provide kettle.
Location: Chinatown. Fisherman Wharf. Lombard Street. Coit Tower, Ghirardelli Square
Strategically located in the Chinatown. Walking distance to Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants, souvenir stores, bus stop, supermarkets, etc. Feeling safe. Clean room. Free wifi speed acceptable. The only inconvenience is that no kettle provided. Very troublesome to make food/milk for baby.. Otherwise, generally quite a comfy stay.

Way overpricedPosted May 17, 2015
Good location in center of SF. Free parking very convenient. However rooms as well as other hotel facilities are outdated. Wifi only worked 1st day. Hotel is seriously overpriced!
