Pros: Nothing. Cancelled remainder of nights.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Too far from everything
Carpet floor was wet. You could see through the cracks in the door. Dirty area. Very small room

Interesting area...

Decent hotel but the area is not for everyone's liking as there are many homeless and drug addicts/dealers in this area.

Exactly what we were after

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Helpful staff, near public transportation, clean, comfy bed.
Cons: There was some noise from a drunk out on the street that was fairly loud but this is not the hotels fault.
Location: We went to a concert at Slim's 2 blocks away was a very easy walk.
A walking distance to Bart station, clean room, helpful staff and safe area in SOMA. Would stay here again If I need a place to stay in the area.

tiny and old hotel located in bad area

Posted Apr 23, 2015
There was no eating space for breakfast. The beds are very old and not good condition. Very noisy during night. Room was small and no extra space for sitting. There were under construction buildings around the hotel. The hotel building is not well maintained and dirty. I god bad memory about the hotel.

Outstanding value, good (enough) accommodations

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Price, location, good-enough accommodations.
Cons: Some renovations would perk the place up a bit including new carpet and perhaps mattresses, eventually swap the TV for current millennium technology.
Location was excellent, within a 10-15 minute walk from the Civic Center BART station, and 20-30 minute walk to Mission. Considering this, and that the price was about half of the average for hotels in the city, and that the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful made for an excellent value. I only stayed one night, but found the room to be very clean, though rather dated (CRT TV, old but functional iron, e.g.). The bed was reasonably comfortable but nothing to write home about. Worked well regardless and I woke up without any kinks in my back or neck. Wifi worked just fine and was reasonably fast (though I didn't do anything to really stresstest it aside from some streaming videos). One interesting note, it was the first hotel room in recent memory where the bathroom had a proper ventilation fan; a small luxury but one that for some reason has always struck me as odd for being absent even in high end accommodations. The front desk staff was quick to get me checked in, friendly, and offered a number of suggestions for both food and local distractions.
