Basic, but clean and good value

Posted Aug 17, 2014
I understand that this hotel has been acquired by the Holiday Inn chain. This hotel is approximately 5 mins from airport using the courtesy shuttle. Downtown San Francisco 30 mins on the BART (courtesy shuttle will take you to and from BART station). On one occasion the shuttle bus was not working, but the hotel organised a taxi on the house. Room was very large and clean, although the a/c units were a little dated and noisy they did the job. Complimentary breakfast buffet was OK, although the coffee was not so good. There was a shortage of breakfast tables during busy periods. It is worth pointing out that there is not much in the way of amenities in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. To be honest, you get what you pay for - a decent hotel in downtown SF could easily set you back over £200 per night. I paid £56 for one night including breakfast. Here, the city can be accessed on the BART for around $16 return (30 mins). If you're after a handy base for the Airport or SF and you're on a budget, consider this hotel - it's clean, safe and comfortable. On the other hand, if you're expecting luxury on the doorstep of the SF attractions then look elsewhere.

Awful !!

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Absolutely nothing!
Cons: Everything.
Location: Awful surrounding.
Room smells and extremely dirty! Closet door broken and no one bother to fix it. Shower head no water pressure and no hot water. Internet wi-fi hardly usable. Since we were just going to stay for one night I did not bother to complain, but the staff never ask me either how my stay was at time of checkout. Really terrible experience all around!! Trust me, stay away and you will be glad you did!

For the price - good enough value for this area.

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: For the price, the sheets and towels are decent quality, the bed is comfortable, the room reasonably clean, decent breakfast and great location.
Cons: The electronic door keys NEVER hold a charge beyond a day or two - water pressure in showers is bad in some rooms
I've stayed at this hotel now about 6 times for business.

Disappointing Stay

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was better than most hotels since they offered a selection such as waffles, eggs, and sausages.
Cons: The rooms, the customer service, the fact that I had to swipe my room key several times to be let in, and lack of attention to breakfast.
Location: The BART station was nearby.
Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk tried to say that I was being charged a "No Show" fee since I was checking in after midnight. I told her that I had called the previous day and was told I would be able to check in at 2 am at the latest. Once that ordeal was sorted out, I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes as she input my information. Once she handed me the receipt, I saw that I was being charged for 4 nights rather than 3. I showed her the error and she proceeded to fix it (this took another 10 minutes). As I arrived in my room finally, it carried a terrible stench of urine. I attempted to air it out as I lay on the stiff bed. In the morning, the breakfast was not too bad. The downside was that they do a horrible job of refilling things. The orange juice machine was low on juice, so it spat out a mixture of mainly water with a hint of orange. There was no hot water, so I was unable to make tea. I looked around to see if anyone could refill any of these things, but no one was around as the front desk phone rang for about 10 minutes. The front desk attendant was gone for so long that a line had formed for people trying to check out. This experience continued for the next 2 nights.

Not recommended

Had a bad experience. I reserved 2 double bedrooms and when I checked in, they didn't have our rooms so they had to put us in 3 single rooms on our first night then moved us to our rooms for the next 2 nights. It was a hassle because we had to move all our luggage the next day before 9:30 am when the housekeeping comes and are not able to move into our rooms until late in the afternoon. Such a hassle!!!

Wifi is awful; facilities are comfortable.

Posted Aug 3, 2014
The wifi was terrible ; it cut in and out constantly and it was impossible to stream , or even send an email. The room was nice and comfortable, the breakfast was good, and parking was abundant. Too bad about that wifi...I rob the staying there again.

Decent hotel for SF area

Posted Jul 25, 2014
I only stayed here for one night before leaving SF. The reason I chose it because of the shuttle service so that I can drop off my rental car. It took them an hour to come pick me up from the airport. It was ridiculous because it wasn't far from the airport. Dropping us off to the airport next morning was seamless which was a plus. The bed was comfortable and the microwave in my room didn't even work. Just fyi, the roll away bed only offer for rooms that have one bed due to the firecode. I found this out when I called them before checking to ask. The rooms with two queen beds took all the space and there would be no room to put a roll away so I understood after I saw my room. I called down to the desk to ask about the shuttle time in the morning and no one pick up. Otherwise the place is decent and average for SF area.
