Cheap overnight stay

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: Location and Price
Cons: Cleaningness, upkeeping of facility
Location: Fisherman's Wharf. Easy access to Alcatraz cruises, Pier 39 and bike rentals
Hotel was Ok. I was expecting a little more modern and maintained. I only stayed one night since I was heading to Napa the following morning.

Disappointing

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: It was a short walk to Fishermans Wharf and close to the trolley. Lobby and the out door area with the fire pit was gorgeous.
Cons: Once you get off the elevator and see the hall way on the way to the room it appearedas if I was in a time warp. I felt as if I was not in the same ho
Location: Very close to Fishermans Wharf and Trolley
The Lobby area was nice and appeared new however, once we got off the elevator and opened the door to our room it was an extreme let down. The carpet was stained and there was a stain on the sheets. The comforter was dingy and worn and when I opened the curtain I had the most horrible view of the air conditioning units. I wasn't expecting a view but I didn't want to look at the pool of stagnant water and the old rags that someone had left laying on the ground. It appeared that they had attempted to do a little updating in the room but just this DEFINATELY doesnt hit the four star mark. I Would compare it to three star hotel.

No frills

Posted Oct 22, 2014
The entry and lobby were nice enough but the room was as plain as could be. It didn't even have a table and chairs in it the window would only crack open so there was no way to cool off. The a/c did not cover the whole room. I woke up in a sweat during the night. The beds and bedding were the only high points. The bathroom sink was way to small. Things kept falling off. Needless to say I won't stay there again.

Not Impressed

Posted Oct 21, 2014
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Our view was a bus terminal with 300 buses right across the street... No insulation in any rooms, barely got a wink of sleep as the buses came and went... Hallways gave me a migraine.

Nice hotel very close to Fisherman's Wharf

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: ComfortBle rooms and closeness to the local attractions.
Cons: Breakfast options for vegetarians.
The hotel was very convenient for walking to Fisherman's Wharf. Pool though small was adequate and not overcrowded. One negative point is the breakfast. Far too expensive for what was on offer, and nothing really if you are a vegetarian! However, being close to Fishermans Wharf this was not an issue as we went there for our breakfast with a good variety of eating options.

Did not feel like a 4 star

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: the location is good
I think the put the expedia rooms in the old part of the hotel. The maids did a terrible job cleaning the room. The location was good but they gouge you with the wifi and parking fees so you end up paying similar prices to regular guest but you are in the old part of the hotel.

We were a little puzzled regarding the comment about an older portion of the hotel. All areas of the hotel were constructed at the same time and our recent renovation covered everything as well. However, we regret that this perception occurred and will try to alleviate this notion for future stays. We appreciate your patronage and hope that you will consider a return stay here. Two star hotel in a 5 star location. Internet bad.

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Hotel is somewhat tired and dated. No views. Very pricey internet went down causing me to entirely miss on-line meeting. Location very good so would not rule out in the future - but many local choices.

Expect better quality at such a price

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: close to fisherman's wharf
Cons: overall quality of the hotel and the service
With a Sheraton name on the building, and a $289 per night price tag, We expected the hotel rooms to be much nicer, and the facility to be in much better condition. The hotel is showing its age and the room was very modest. We booked a king bed and got a double bed instead. The breakfast was standard American with nothing special either, even with the $32 price tag per person! for the same date/time, we could have booked Le Meridien for $169 and got much better quality. Sheraton needs to evaluate this property a bit closer.

Nice hotel but costly

Posted Oct 12, 2014
We booked through Expedia for a king size room but when we arrived we got 2 double bed instead. Everything costs money there, valet parking was $55 for a day and extra $14 for wifi connection. The ac was old and it made a lot of noises throughout the night. On the good side it is close to everything but that's about it.

Pros: Location.
The hotel was rated 4 star. I would have given it only 2 stars. It was in desperate need of updating.

Dear Pa'Mela, Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your 3 star rating. Our renovation was not so long ago with a somewhat retro theme. Some of our Guests love it and some not so much. We will count you in the later group and keep your comments in mind for future plans. We look forward to the next opportunity to serve you. Sincerely, Michael Hirsch, General Manager
