Excellent hotel and staff

The staff were very friendly and polite. The hotel is well maintained with a great view of the lagoon behind it. Would definitely recommend staying there and we would do so again without hesitation. An outstanding hotel and an exceptional experience.

Pros: Lovely hotel and our room was very nice.
Location: Everything is a drive away....but still close! Easy drive to the airport or they provide free transportation to the airport.
We stayed in the Sofitel one night and we upgraded to a suite. The suite was very spacious with a separate living space from the "living room". We did not eat in the restaurant but it looked full so someone enjoyed it. They offered a sit down breakfast or some nice "grab and go" sandwiches or yogurt in the lobby sandwich shop. It was only about a 20 min. ride north to San Fran airport. The only caution it is located in a office building type complex so it is not a place that has restaurants, bars or shopping in walking distance. We drove one exit south (5 min) to the small town nearby and there were some fun restaurants there.

Great hotel for business travel.

Location is very convenient for getting to SFO or to companies in bay area since is between SFO and Palo Alto. My room has a great view of the pond no the back of the hotel. Staffs are very friendly. Unlike most of the hotel near SFO, it offers complementary parking. The only thing I wish to have been better is the swimming pool, which is to small get a workout. But will stay there again.

Pros: turn down service and condition of the hotel
Cons: more often airport shuttle bus
Location: it is a tech business park, nothing to do and nothing around except offices
it is a very clean, and outstanding in service and cleaning as well as customer service hotel.

Location: Not too much to do in the area
I stayed at this hotel for the VIP access upgrade from expedia. What I get is only "free" internet and I was charged $ 14 dlls the next day morning at my check out ( because the lady told me I choose the high speed internet from my browser) It is a Beautiful hotel 20 mins drive form the airport & 30 min drive to Standford University. I was planning to stay there next week I have to go back to SF. But this time I will give the opportunity to another VIP acces hotel.

Pros: The staff at the front desk were very friendly and seemed to be truly concerned with any problems I might have had!
Cons: Bedding, counter tops and glasses be cleaned properly
Overall I was very disappointed in the general cleanliness of the room. One could tell the bedding had not been changed by things found on/in it. The counters had not been wiped clean and it looked like a hand towel had been used to clean the glassware in the room. I am not a neat freak but one would think I am talking about the motel 6 down the road not a highly recommend hotel such as the Sofitel.

Worst hotel I ever stated in.

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Rooms need to be carefully checked.
I will never go back or recommend it to anyone. They promised and could not deliver. I booked a Luxury Room in a 5 star hotel and arrived in a mediocre hotel and room. The room was old and dirty. There was a mini refrigerator on the floor, molds on the bathroom walls, old yellow pillowcases instead of white, no light bulb in the lamp, dirty counters. Old moldy ironing board. Worst experience I've ever had in the hotel.

My husband and I dont get much us time so we booked room 5 minutes from our house and stayed 24 hours while we had my mom watch the kids. It was awesome! Food, bar, pool, room, gym. The only thing we want in a room is air (a window, balcony, etc) so that was the only issue for us and we will be back. Soon!!
