“This is a Great Hotel, with a European Flavor”

This hotel would be great for anyone that was staying in the general area, most likely business travelers, however, this hotel is beautiful. There are no conveniences in walking distance, so if it is not at the hotel, you will need to get whatever you want/need when you are out for the day. The Staff was so accommodating and the rooms are a nice size. Some of the furniture in the room could stand to be replaced, but nothing extreme. The food was scrumptious, although a bit pricey. There is a gym and a very small coffee shop that doubles as a very small gift shop. It was too cool for the pool, but it was beautifully set up for outdoor lounging, including fire pits on both ends of the pool. And finally it is a hike from SFO so you would be wise to rent a car if you are going back and forth to the City/Wharf/Piers.

“Great place to stay outside of the city.”

Stayed here while visiting some friends in San Francisco. Great place to stay, if you are willing to make the 20-30 minute drive into the city. We were willing to make that drive and it turned out great as it was easily half the cost of staying anywhere near downtown. The hotel isn't the most lavish of places, but it is very clean and a great staff. But it has to be said, that the greatest part of this hotel was the unbelievably comfortable bed. We shared a king size bed that was like heaven! For those willing to make a little drive into the city, save some money and have a great nights sleep on a fantastic bed, I'd highly recommend the Sofitel.

“Great hotel”

I enjoyed EVERYTHING about my stay from the hotel shuttle from the airport until I took the shuttle back to the airport! I will stay there every time I come to the San Francisco area!

“Amazing hotel!”

This hotel was amazing. I usually can't afford such a luxurious hotel, but thanks to Expedia's rates, I could. Everything about our stay was incredible. Feather pillows and duvet, and we ordered room service, felt so pampered. And every time I called the front desk, I was instantly identified by name and referred to as Madam. One morning an item was forgotten in our room service order, one call and it was fixed promptly, with many apologies (it really wasn't that big of a problem). I would stay here again in a heartbeat, it was that amazing. Only complaint was the stack of garbage in the parking garage. It appeared that stuff had been dumped there for MONTHS, it was an unsightly disaster. For such an immaculate hotel, to see that was very shocking. It needs to be cleaned up, pronto. Other than that, the place was just phenomenal. Loved it.

“Beautiful, Luxurious Hotel”

The hotel was very nice. What a wonderful place to relax. The fitness center was the highlight for me. Wow! The one downside was there were no cancellations permitted. I needed to leave earlier than expected and there seemed to be no exceptions.

We were on our honeymoon and had never been to San Francisco before. We happened upon this hotel on expedia and were more than thrilled with our entire experience. We will return and highly recommend this hotel.

“Redwood City's Best Hotel”

I went with my best friend to San Fran. Sofitel in REdwood City was just a 20 minute walk from the CalTrain which took us to San Francisco each morning. WE loved the hotel and service. Didn't realize it was a French hotel, but that made it all the more fun! There was a small pool outside but it was too cold to swim in at the time we went... but definitely warm enough to lay out. Grocery store was in walking distance as well, so we didn't even end up needing a car as we just walked everywhere or took the train or Bart system. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back!
