Location, Location, Location!!

Glad we took the opportunity to stay in this hotel. Although our room was very tiny, it was clean and tidy. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was yummy, with a variety of choices. This hotel's location was perfect for our plans in The City and we will plan on staying here again. Wouldn't advise walking after dark in the Haight Ashbury District, however, we felt very safe in the daylight and the parking lot across the street was reasonable and our car was monitored by a 24 hour attendant. Thanks!!

Close to Golden Gate Park

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: The staff did their best to resolve the issues of concern.
Cons: WiFi
Location: Golden Gate Park.
Room was not completely ready for occupancy when we checked in. There was a burned out light bulb in the lamp between the beds, which needed to be replaced. WiFi connectivity was problematic at times.

Decent hotel. Staff was kind, but not amazing. It's an old building, but well kept.

Great location for downtown and pretty reasonable

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: location, breakfast
Cons: fix the elevator
Location: Golden gate park
We stayed 3 nights when visiting my brother in law, who also lived downtown just a short walk away. If you plan to go to Golden Gate Park, there really couldn't be a better location. There are also some restaurants and a Whole Foods within walking distance, which was nice. The hotel was super clean, though some of the furniture and bathroom fixtures were dated. If you are looking for new and modern and large rooms, go elsewhere. If you are looking for clean, charming, and cozy, this is it. The breakfast was also really good with a lot of fresh fruit and juices. the only real negative was the elevator was broken during our stay and we were on the 3rd floor....

nice hotel

Cons: the elevator fixed....
Location: While the hotel has a remarkably yummy breakfast, Lava Java down the street is great.
Daughter moved to the Cole Valley area and this hotel was close to her apartment. Nice, queit, clean, quaint. Not a 'wow' kind of place but I like independently owned properties rather than big corporate places. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to be in the area.

A peaceful, quiet respite in a busy area. Attentive and helpful staff. Doing as lot on a tight budget. Excellent breakfast offerings, tea time, and wine and cheese hour. Very clean and well kept.

More like a bed and breakfast

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Friendly, homey, served breakfast, price. There was reasonable parking across the street.
Cons: Not sure.
Location: We stayed at Stanyan Park Hotel because of its proximity to the USCF hospital. It is uphill but doable.
This hotel seemed quaint and personable. It is has a homey feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at "tea time", which was nice. And they serve breakfast in the morning.

European Style hotel close to transport

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: European Style, clean, near public transport.
Cons: Parking Options
Location: They have a good list but most of our schedule was already planned.
Actually stayed to visit a conference at Moscone Confernece Center as well as visit some San Francisco friends. Live in the region but a bit long for a day commute.
