Do not stay in old tower-stay in newer tower. Pricey for what you get,overrated.

Beautiful hotel, comfy bed and loved the walk in closet. Make sure to have the breakfast buffet. It's a wonderful location, quite walkable to everything.

Lousy Service

Location: CLose to the center of town, great places to dine.
They got it wrong right from the booking. They sent me an open and used bottle of Jam with my croissant. When I called In room dining about it, they apologized, but didn't offer to send another bottle. Considering there is a $5 room service charge and a 20% gratuity over that, I think this service was unacceptable. Has to be one of my worst Fairmont experiences. The waiter in the coffee shop in the lobby was very specific that he had just one coffee machine and he was just the one staff waiting at that time(3pm) and as such the Espresso would take 15 mins. Like I said, Lousy service. For that money, I'll stay elsewhere. Has to be one of my worst Fairmont experiences.

lovely hotel full of character

Pros: Position, style and character.
Location: Easy access to city. Cable car stop just round the corner. Nearby restaurants and bars.
easy access to the city and it's attractions. Hotel facilities were good. Very pleasant stay.

Fabulous hotel with an amazing foyer.

Pros: Luxury and grandeur everywhere.
Cons: Not may rooms have views but that cannot be changed.
Location: About a 10 minute walk to Macys on the square and a 25 minute walk down a steep hill to Fishermans Wharf (we always took a cab back up to the hotel!!)
This hotel was one of the most impressive I have stayed in. The foyer is huge, breathtaking with beautiful marble and gold everywhere. Very opulent and luxurious. The bedroom was newly refurbished and spacious. The staff were very attentive and gave 6 star service. I would definitely stay here the next time we are in San Francisco.

Very nice and convenient

Pros: The beautiful public areas.
Cons: See above "Write about your experience" remarks.
The only negative comment would be that we wish that there had been more drawer storage space. The only drawers were two in a nightstand. We stayed for 3 nights and had planned on completely unpacking our suitcases, place the contents in drawers and on hangers, and repacking for the rest of our trip. There was plenty of closet hanging space (not necessary for our wardrobes) and a couple of 12" wide shelves. In addition there was only 1 luggage rack in the room. The hotel is lovely, comfortable, and beautiful with a friendly staff. We enjoyed are stay at the Fairmont San Francisco Nob Hill. It was very convenient for reaching the various sites. And the free parking as part of our package was greatly appreciated. The parking lot staff was very patient, helpful, and friendly.

Our stay in San Francisco

Pros: Décor and location
Cons: Nothing really
Location: It is located on Nob Hill which gave us a beautiful view of the bay.
This is a beautiful hotel which is in a great location. The staff was awesome except for the hostess in the Tiki Bar. She was a bit rude but other than that it was great. I would definitely stay there again.

Cons: staff worldy knowledge. provide more facilities in room, like plug converter, tooth brush set, mini sewing kit- u get this in other 5* hotels
Location: not good at all on a hill.
lobby smaller than expected. didnt like the hilly walk to union so too tiring. this hotel is away from most areas and a lot of walking is required. my room never had a nice view just the roof of older rooms. the trolley always has a long line difficult to get on one. staff are very rude, only a couple people and conceirege were nice, checkin and door man very unhelpful. more information provided about the local area would be useful. room service was very poor standard and very expensive. the sandwich made was soo basic. they always expect tips which i am not accustomed to. nice cafe downstairs . the only reason this hotel is woww is because of its history nopthing else.the location is awful to many homeless people around.
