Classic SF hotelPosted Mar 1, 2015
Great location, beautiful, classic San Francisco hotel. We had a great time exploring different neighborhoods in the area-Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square. Can't go wrong with The Fairmont:)

Beautiful hotel, excellent and highly accommodating staff. Worth paying extra for the Tower rooms - the view is incredible.

It was nice to stay at such a splendid total.Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Its grandeur and its past history.
Cons: Would rather prefer that this place is maintained without making or adding any modern improvements that would change its character.
Location: Location was very central.
We were there on a short business trip so we really could not enjoy the facilities the hotel had to offer. The overall experience was excellent.

Fairmont Hotel, perfect for enjoying San FranciscoPosted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The old world elegant & charm, the friendly but professional staff, the location within the city, and it's a very dog friendly hotel.
Cons: Cannot think of any improvements.
Location: Prime city location atop of Nob Hill, very close to Grace Cathedral, easy walking distance to many attractions and Union Square, Cab car stops close.
This is my second stay at the Fairmont and hopefully not my last. The location is ideal, not far from Grace Cathedral, walking distance to many places, beautiful grand lobby, gracious staff not only at the counter but including the maids who attend the rooms. We enjoyed afternoon tea in Laurel Court and one evening enjoyed wine and cocktails in the bar area. This visit I choose to stay in the original building -- Room 226 which was very comfortably decorated and had a nice view overlooking a small garden & fountain and views of the city including the Transamerica Building. Very quiet room, peaceful room.

We love this place!Posted Feb 9, 2015
My husband and I arrived two hours early and were allowed to check in at no additional fee. The hotel staff was helpful and pleasant. Our room was beautiful and the view was amazing. We enjoyed the drinks and band at the Tonga Room. We will be back.
