Location: Nob Hill is a perfect location with great views over San Francisco. Very close to Grace Cathedral & first rate shopping. Take a Cable Car for a unique
A great pleasure to stay in this beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff, you can dine to the twinkling of the grand piano, Le Labo toiletries, everything is gorgeous.

Elegant old world hotel on top of Nob HillPosted Apr 17, 2014
The hotel rooms and hallways have been beautifully renovated, and create an elegant, calm, restful environment. I had a very good nights sleep. The hotel restaurant an good alternative to going out after a long day of sightseeing or shopping.

Clean and Convenient; OK not GreatPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: room decor; mattress
Cons: food; taste and quality
Location: catch cable car to wharf or union square; can also walk if feeling energetic. lots of good shopping.
Decent hotel, nothing special. Nicely appointed rooms, comfortable mattress. Staff were pleasant enough (i.e., not rude) but didn't make you feel like you were staying at a luxury hotel. Ordered quite a bit of room service; food was pretty underwhelming for the cost. Same applied to restaurant in the lobby. Nothing compelling to inspire me to return, but nothing so bad that I wouldn't consider it.

Excellent, priceyPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: The hotel is historical, well located and beautiful.
Cons: It needs to merge the beauty of the past and the technologically savvy new generations now and to come. free wi-fi, free shuttles.
We had a room with no view but the room met our needs , we were out most of the time. Everything was expensive . There was no courtesy shuttle service or free wi-fii. We probably should have stayed in a less expensive hotel for our needs and still get back to the hotel with a free shuttle service and wi fii to communicate with friends or downloading our day to day experience on the Facebook. Staff was helpful and friendly. There was not much to say about their computer room. No pool, not much for a place to workout . Most of the activities were down at the Fisherman's wharf. The hotel needs more entertainment places close by other than the Tonga room.. something for adults and young adults.

Beautiful hotel on top of Nob Hill.Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Beautiful hotel, friendly staff.
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms and bed properly updated
Location: Pier 39, lots of restaurants, union square,
Beautiful hotel with rich history. Anyone who visits need to check the pictures in the hallway leading to the parking garage. Only downside was the rooms were supposedly just updated. Yet the queen bed we had was very worn on right side. It felt like I had to keep myself from rolling downhill all night. The hair dryer that's in the room was outdated and cheap. The power button kept turning off. The wall paper in bathroom was already peeling from corners on walls. Crevices on sink were cacked with dirt and grime. I also reserved a room with either a view of the city or of the courtyard. Yet view was of window on other side of hotel and center roof area.

The nerve of San FranciscoPosted Apr 8, 2014
The overall of Fairmont San Francisco is that is a very cozy and good looking place. Is a landmark but also the people are focused to the satisfaction of the guests. Desipte is in the top of a hill, the transportation is excellent. Yo may use the cable car to go everywhere... and is properly linked to other services. Near to Chinatown and Little Italy.
