“The Mosser is Most Splendid!”

I had a really good time here. The hotel is clean with nice friendly service. Rooms are small but if you don't plan on staying the room you'll have no trouble with it. Also the major benefit of this hotel is that its in the perfect location right in the center of the city near Market St.

“Great location, great value -loved The Mosser”

I loved staying at The Mosser! Great location and a great price. The rooms are small but efficient. The decor is contemporary -good colors. I got a room with a bathroom -ended up on the 8th floor. The room had double windows to keep the noise down but you could open it to take in the city if you wanted. Great if you like to sleep with the window open. Had dinner two nights at Annabelle's -loved the asparagus salad. Staff was friendly and took good care of me. They offer a good cup of coffee and a tasty muffin in the morning -still warm when I pulled it out of the basket. If you want a big buffet of cereal and make-it-yourself Belgium waffles you'll be disappointed but I found to really hit the spot. If you want a "fancy" coffee take a walk to Mint Plaza and check out Blue Bottle's cafe. Be sure to factor in cost of parking if you're driving.

The Mosser is a great little hotel in SF-I would definitely stay again! While my room was small-the accommodations were just as described, new and perfectly lovely for a trip spent mostly outside of the room. Many of the rooms are European style with the bath/toilet outside of the room-mine was in this group. I didn't experience any issues with that and found it to be just fine for my needs. As a female traveling alone, I was a bit worried-but to no avail-safe enough and located central to a lot of the action of the city. The concierge and front desk staff were more than helpful and kind, but it helps to do your own homework, too-easy enough through the wireless network. For those of you doing SF on the cheap-walk down and over a block and find Mel's Diner where the food is both inexpensive and good. Be sure to visit the Folk Art Museum, SF Modern Art Museum and Yerba Buena Gardens for a real feel for the cultural life of the town. Fisherman's wharf, Chinatown and the rest are close enough-and the motel is located a block or two away from public transporation. I graded slightly lower on condition-simply because while this is a new remodel-it is an older facility and as such has issues associated with that. However, the design is right on target, lovely and adds to the ambience of this charming facility.

“Great for a short stay”

First time I've booked a room with shared bath it worked just fine never an issue with getting in there when needed, good location one block from powell bart, take bart from airport is only $8.10 room was small but very clean and cozy there is a walgreens around the corner and across the street definitely check out the view bar and restaurant....on the top floor of the marriott. Just a few blocks from union square where u can catch a double decker tour bus that will take u around downtown, fishermans warf, the golden gate bridge and the park...two day passes are only about $25 and def worth it to see the city

“Wonderful budget hotel”

We were very pleased with the room, amenities and service at this great little hotel in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The room was tiny but very comfortable, with separate shower and toilet rooms down the hall. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept on in a hotel. The place was quiet. No AC but the SF nights are cool.We were able to walk or take a bus or cable car to China town and all the way to Fisherman's Wharf thropugh North Beach and back. The price of the room was surprisingly reasonable. We'll be back any time we want to hang for a few days. We used the valet parking which is $29 but you can park all day for half that in parking garages nearby.

“Very cute European style hotel”

I stayed at the Mosser to be close to the Mascone Center. The Hotel was inexpensive but had high quality service and charm. I was extremely satisfied with both the Hotel and its location. Located one block from the Mascone Center, the historic Trolly turnaround, the Street Car, and the Bart system. The hotel was clean and remodeled beautifully. The bathrooms and showers we outside the room but private, clean, and new, with plenty and no waiting. Loved it. If I go back to San Fran, the Mosser is where I will stay.

“Incredible stay”

Incredible stay for single traveler. Probably not best for families, but great for singles. Staff was kind and curtious. Just a stones throw from chinatown and union square. Beds comfy, and quiet room, despite being located in the middle of downtown (doublepaned windows). Showers were almost never busy, despite the numerous conferences in town. Wonderful!

The Mosser is in a great location - very central - plus the rooms are very clean and modern. I have never experienced more friendly housekeeping staff!

Very good place to stay. Very nice and helpfull staff. The hotel is extremely well situated, close to cable car.
