Convenient budget hotel in San Francisco

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: convenient, price-worthy
Cons: soundproofing
Location: near Union square
Hotel worked out ok. There was excessive noise from a mal-functioning fan in the next room requiring me to move, but the staff was very understanding. They provide coffee and muffins in the morning. I will for sure stay there the next time.

great location small rooms

Hotel is in a great location in downtown San Francisco but the rooms are very small and if you stay on the floor with a community bathroom it can be an inconvenience although they are very clean and comfortable

Great value for the money in this location.

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location on a budget.
Cons: Nothing to improve - it was good!
Location: Shopping all around, walkable neighborhood.
Clean and adequately furbished room in hot (and much more expensive) neighborhood. The room is a little noisy with the window open, and the bathroom sink is tiny, but the room was clean, and well thought through. The price is 1/3 of neighboring hotels - a great value.

狭いけどかわいい

駅やスーパーからも近くアクセス抜群でした。部屋は狭いけど可愛らしいし、必要なアメニティーなども揃っていてよかったです。共同バスルームが気にならなければ特に問題はないと思います。

Overall, it was a comfortable experience. The hotel is located in a central area, close to many city landmarks and methods of transportation. The hotel staff was friendly and curtious. Also, I enjoyed the "wine down Friday hour." A plus, were the room windows. They're doubled up, hence the city noise was not an issue at night.

Please post when your hotel has contruction

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The staff was quick to switch our room to the one originally paid for and offer us wine upon entry. The rooms were very nice!
Cons: Communicate with your customers. Posting online or sending out an email to your future guests helps eliminate frustration. Many guests were upset.
Location: SoMa is a great neighborhood. A little something for everybody. The mall, shopping centers, and restaurants are everywhere!
I booked this room for a romantic getaway for my girlfriend and I to enjoy the city. Based on what I saw online, things looked great. The website showed great pictures and I booked a great looking room with a private bathroom because I thoroughly read about how some rooms don't have them. Better yet, valet parking! Everything was set for romance. Then I noticed something that was completely left off of their site: there was construction...EVERYWHERE. I would like to preface that I TOTALLY understand that sinkholes happen. My issue is the complete lack of information to the customer so that I could make an educated decision on where I would like to stay. Something as simple as "Street Construction. Please Park at Garage on 5th and Mission" would have been great. Nothing. So there was no parking, nowhere to unload, and when I called, the person on the phone said "come inside and we'll tell you where to park." Just tell me on the phone next time. I found parking, so everything should be fine and this construction can't possibly go on all night. More on that later. Our first room (yes, first) was on the 8th floor, we go up and my gf says "Where's the bathroom?" Great question. There isn't one. I was put into the wrong room. They did, however, fix it straight away! 7th floor and we're above the construction but no problem, they'll stop right? NOPE! Construction went on UNINTERRUPTED for the entirety of the evening. I got zero sleep. But thanks for the late checkout I guess.

Quick stop before heading to Napa.

Absolutely love this place! The room was adorable, clean and comfortable. Didn't even mind the hall bathroom. A fellow guest suggested I use the ear plugs provided but after closing my windows I heard nothing, very, very happy with this place. Will definitely stay here again. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT location.

Small but nice

Posted Feb 15, 2015
Pros: Clean, good style, affordable, friendly staff, great location
Cons: Breakfast muffins were tiny, probably not good for a long stay because of the size of the rooms and the lack of exercise room/etc
Location: GREAT location! Just near the Moscone Center (for conferences), and Union Square was a short walk away. Also lots of shopping nearby
Overall, my stay at the Mosser was nice enough. It's really more of a European-style hotel. My room was very small (instead of a dresser and closet, there were drawers under the bed and a hanging rack on one wall), but the bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and everything was always clean. I did get one of the rooms with a private bathroom, so I can't speak to the state of the shared ones. The breakfast was kind of disappointing, just tiny muffins and coffee, and there doesn't seem to be a fitness room or other extra amenities. I'd say, if you're not terribly fussy and expecting a Marriott, the Mosser is a great hotel for a short visit. It's definitely affordable and it's right around the corner from the Moscone Center and a short walk to Union Square. It has a funky style that seems very San Francisco, and free Wifi! I'll be happy to stay at the Mosser next time I'm in town.
