A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE!!!Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: The staff, muffins/coffee in the morning, and the cleaniness of the hotel.
Cons: The room was a bit warm but fine once the ceiling fan was activated. It would be nice to add orange juice to the continental breakfast.
Location: The location is ideal. It's in the center of the Union Square area with easy access to food, shopping, theatre, etc.
The Mosser provided a very pleasant hotel stay. The location is ideal.

Pros: Location, price
Cons: Streets quickly turn from nice to nasty- Mission St above 4th has great restaurants etc, below 4th is sketchy. Nothing the hotel can do, just be aware
Location: If you're planning to ride cablecars, look into the Muni's passport - covers all Muni including cablecars, which are $6 p/p one way otherwise.
There was a huge conference in town the week were were coming and rates at chain hotels were astronomical. The Mosser's rates were incredibly reasonable, though there were only shared bathroom rooms left. First up. This hotel's rooms are much more in the style of a European or British B&B, though don't be expecting a full English breakfast here. Facilities are basic, though of high quality. Our room was small but fit a Queen bed and washbasin. A tiny closet for storing our suitcase and a chair took up the remaining floorspace. Given that we planned to spend our days out exploring, it was all the space we really needed. We have shared a bathroom in many hotels before, so this didn't particularly bother us. I never encountered anyone else using the facilities, even though there were at least 5 or 6 rooms sharing. In terms of location, the Mosser was a great choice. Just off Market St, it’s close to the BART, streetcars and buses, and only a short walk to the Powell & Market cablecar turnaround. Noise outside the room was minimised by double windows but in Summer, you'd want the windows open. Guess that's why they provide earplugs! Noise from the hallway was more of an issue, but calmed down after the first night (when I think the hotel was full). Overall a solid choice. Great location, good price and clean, safe rooms.

Don't stay here unless it's your last resortPosted Jan 20, 2015
Here's what you WONT have at this hotel: Your own toilet or shower (there are "shared" facilities in the hallway), AC/Heat thermostat (the hotel sets it for you), blankets, any drawers for storage, and NO valet parking as stated on their website. As a matter of fact, there is NO hotel parking at all, so budget $100 per day for parking at the closest facilities. But here's what you WILL have: A 10x10 room with a "half bed" that you sleep on sideways, construction going on all night around the hotel, and a makeshift homeless camp right outside the front doors that no one seems to think is an issue. And trust me, if their not harassing you for "a dollar" every time you come in and out, you'll get to at least hear them yell at each other all night for no apparent reason. Good Times.

Being a Guest vs. Being a CustomerPosted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. The downtown location makes everything worth visiting accessible by public transit. It's kept absolutely spotless.
Cons: The rooms are small, but enlarging them would be impractical.
Location: Heart of downtown. Muni Metro, F streetcar, and BART within one block. Union Square shopping is close by.
I was really impressed with the friendly, efficient, and very helpful staff. They make you feel truly like a guest, not a number in a corporate database. I liked the complimentary coffee and muffins in the morning. I will definitely return. The architecture of the 8-story building is early 20th century, but the rooms have been recently refurbished.

저렴한 가격에 좋은 위치Posted Jan 13, 2015
Share bathroom was so clean that I couldn't feel any unconvenience. 공용욕실이었지만 불편한점을 느끼지 못할정도로 깔끔했습니다. It was in so great position to be close to the Union square. 유니언스퀘어에서 가까이 있었기때문에 위치는 매우 좋았습니다 Even though the room was so small but it was very clean, 방은 매우 작았습지만 깔끔했습니다

Great value.Posted Jan 9, 2015
Location: There are a few good restaurants and coffee places right by the hotel. It is right by Union Square, so all that is right around the corner too.
We liked the Mosser Hotel. We stayed in Rm. 706 during January for three nights - Monday thru Thursday. The room we stayed in was very small, but I expected that. The room was very clean, carpets looked new, the bed and bed covers were very comfortable; there was a sink and mirror in the room. There was a large flat screen TV, and a big window that opened. There was also a nice ceiling fan. The bathroom and the shower room were just down the hall (the hotel provides bathrobes). Both of these rooms were immaculate. I never once saw anyone else use the bathroom or shower room. Come to think of it, I never passed another guest on our floor. The hotel itself was very quiet. Since we were on the backside of the building, we faced a large parking lot (shared by some stores). The parking lot got a lot of service vehicles that beeped loudly when backing up, which wasn't great when trying to sleep in, but otherwise the noise was tolerable. We thought this hotel was a great deal because with the Expedia package, we paid the same price for the hotel plus flight as we would have for just the flight. So the hotel was basically free. I think this place would still be a very good deal for $100 a night. For twice that, I'd want more space in the room for sure. Otherwise, The Mosser is very clean, comfortable, well located, and a great deal. I'd stay there again.
