The front desk associate Rodaba was really amazing. We visited the hotel for our anniversary and we were very well taken care of. She gave us great recommendations for dining and spots to visit. The hotel was even in walking distance from the cable car turnaround. Would definitely stay there for our next visit to SF.

Funky, central hotel with lots of nice features. Coffee and tea should ideally be courtesy in the mornings (like many other SF hotels). Fun games area, with basketball a highlight, though pool table needed fixing.

The reception was excellent, very welcoming and caring. I was provided with a room upgrade and complimentary breakfast coupons. I would suggest upgrading the breakfast experience with some touches, like plates, cups/mugs, utensils, as well as customer service. Also, some lobby lights were noticeably blinking during my entire stay. Electricians should be able to correct that issue. Overall, nice, calm, and attentive hotel.

Heat was broken and had to swap to a different room. Also, only valet parking on site. True cost of parking is misrepresented on Expedia. It’s bit more. Staff was nice but a bummer I had to switch rooms at 2:30am

Extremely MEH. Underwhelming
This is an old building, I understand that...but for the rates (and I booked a suite) I would expect better accommodations. Everything just smells musky and all the furniture is dinged/scratched. The staff is lovely but I originally booked an 1800 sf presidential suite (Zeppelin suite) online. Imagine my surprise when the expansive suite had no bathtub and a shower smaller than my showers in my 2 bedroom apartment back home. No fancy anything. This hotel is kitchy but not luxurious at all.

Rooms were not as advertised. There was a smell that staff was aware of. I could not stay in the hotel but staff was very accommodating in handling our dissatisfaction and very apologetic. There was an issue with the hotel putting a $2500 hold on my card which was quite an inconvenience the following day when trying to purchase food or excursions but the issue was eventually fixed.

Do yourself a favor and stay here.
Best hidden gem in the city. This trendy, hotel has so much spirit and charm it almost feels alive. Reminiscent of the music scene of the 70’s, but with a modern and comfortable vibe. It’s walking distance to several of the areas iconic neighborhoods, and also a great place to stay in just to chill and enjoy the provided atmosphere. The burger, shake, and full bar restaurant PLS on Post that is attached to the hotel is worth a visit whether you stay at the property or not. We will be back, again and again.

I was so happy I had chosen this location. It was clean, quiet and I felt safe. I wish there was a kettle in the room though. I didn't like the price for the water $5 for 1L but I went to a store around the corner and got 4L for $2.99 which was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Zeppelin. The queen double room we were in was very spacious. The common areas of the hotel are well appointed and cozy, and the game room was a lot of fun. The hotel is walking distance to public transit. Close to Union square and other city attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Long Weekend Visit
Great location; good security. Eclectic decor makes this much more interesting than most hotels… great games room. Relatively quiet location for being downtown. Nice onsite breakfast option.
