Nice for a price.

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Location
Location: Everything
The room we paid for was unavailable and the hotel was fully booked. First we were put into a room that was tiny with only one bed for three. I pleasantly requested a new room or a refund, we were given a larger room but with only one bed. Having to use a cot in a 5star is low brow.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The location. The hotel is on a quiet block of Stockton St. Yet, it's in a very convenient area.
Location: On the corner, you can hop on a cable car (California Line). Union Square is 3-4 blocks away.
Checking-in and -out was very easy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities (i.e. the fitness center and the lounge) at the hotel. We would be happy staying at this hotel again.

Nice hotel, good location if you rent a car

Posted Aug 9, 2014
The hotel was really comfortable. The rooms are big and really clean, the bed is super comfy. The hotel is Not in the best location for walking distance. I highly recommend it if you rent a car. The hotel parking was really expensive per night so we parked on a garage nearby and the rates were less expensive ($39 per night compared to $79).

Top class hotel

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Great location. Excellent food. Superior service.
Cons: I couldn't fault it
Location: Good central location within easy reach of downtown or Fisherman's Wharf area. Steep walk back up the hill at the end of the day is only downside!
I stayed at the Ritz Carlton for 5 nights on a business trip to San Francisco. On arrival I was pleased to be upgraded to Club Level! The room was a little on the small side at this price point and there was no separate shower but overall the quality of the accommodation was first rate. Luxuriously comfortable bed! Housekeeping staff were excellent and the complimentary evening shoe shine was a classy touch. The food offering on club level was first rate with an excellent breakfast buffet, tasty lunchtime treats and champagne and cocktails in the evening. Delicious! Free wifi on club level was also an unexpected bonus.

Grand historic hotel with outstanding service

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The architecture, condition, service, food, bedding, art, fitness centre...
Location: Handy location for walking or cable car access to Chinatown, Union Square shopping, North Beach and even Fisherman's Wharf.
Very comfortable stay in good location for a fun weekend in SF. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and attentive to details. Parallel 37 restaurant prix fixe dinner was outstanding, including the wine pairings.

There are much better hotels in San Francisco for

Posted Aug 4, 2014
We requested two rollaway beds for our suite. Upon arrival they informed us that they had no more rollaways. with two teenagers we needed separate beds. Basically they just blew it off at the front desk. While they were polite and gave us lipservice it was clear they really didn't care and made no effort to come to a solution. We finally had to request that they bring some pillow top mattress's blankets and sheets for the floor.

very good hotel, far from attractions

hotel itself is great. all services, including restaurant were awesome. the only downside was its a long walk away from union square and hotel does not offer any shuttle services. tried in room dining and not disappointed.

Oversold hotel!!!

Posted Aug 1, 2014
When we arrive late night for check in the staff told us that the hotel was oversold so they dont have any rooms available...!!! Even when I paid almost three months in advance!!! Nothing to do... They sent us to another hotel. I expect more from this hotel but its like a motel 6. They don't respect their clients

Five Star Hotel & Amazing Staff

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: The d├ęcor, the employees, and the hours and presentations at The Club Lounge.
Cons: The route shuttles take to the hotel from the airport.
Location: I think we enjoyed most if not all of the tourist attractions.
We reside in Texas. Texans are known to be friendly and hospitable people. We are. Your staff made us feel very comfortable and very welcome. The bellhops were amazing. The young ladies at the desk lovely. Mr. Alexander Starksky and Mr. Alexander Vincent were genuinely kind, very gracious and informative. The ladies who serve guest at the eight floor Club Lounge were family. Beautiful people, very kind, very warm. Your staff made this the best five star hotel experience thus far. We are very appreciative to all. Gregory & Martha Johnson
