They gave me a complimentary ride to breakfast in a Mercedes S class since the restaurant was close by...very nice

I think the Ritz Carlton people must send all their employees to charm school. Every one of them was extremely courteous, efficient, and super friendly.

Very disappointing

We were looking forward to staying there and were very disappointed. We arrived 4 of us as stated on our confirmation from Expedia to be told by hotel staff that they only had a king bed for the 4 of us. The reception attendant offered no solution other than to tell me the hotel has had this problem with Expedia. I asked for the manager and we were given one roll away bed our other daughter 11 years old slept in a chair for two nights. They offered no solution despite my persistence and printed confirmation from Expedia!

Extremely comfortable hotel

Spent 5 nights in total in a club room. Very comfortable. Only draw back no separate shower, but other than that a very nice bathroom with a good selection of toiletries. The club lounge was very useful, with a varied selection of food and drink throughout the day, which meant that if you didn't want to you did not have to go out to eat. Main drawback to the hotel,(apart from the cost) is that the walk to the hotel from Union Square includes one very steep hill.

Staff was friendly and hotel was clean! If you are looking for a relaxing hotel to escape the city buzz, then The Ritz would be a good sanctuary. Enjoy

Everyone was exceptional from the front door to check in and room service. Upon departing I needed a car and one was delivered to the hotel within an hour. I cannot say enough. And the hotel was, of course, beautiful!

Bates Family Stay

Pros: Everything from the staff to the location.
Location: Just a trolley ride or short walk away from Chinatown, Shopping and Fisherman's Wharf.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco. The hotel staff were awesome from the doormen to the cleaning staff. Five days/four nights and everyday was as if we just arrived. They welcomed us every time we came back from our days excursions. I would stay there again and recommend this to all my friends and family.

not what i expected

Pros: the restaurant
Cons: the courtyard was nice although the water fountain was off. there were cigaret buds all over.
i reserved the room asking for 2 beds as we had our 11 year old grandchild traveling with us, it was confirmed by the hotel that we wiuld get what we requested as that was an option during booking. when we went to check in they informed us that they gave us one bed and a foldable bed i was not happy and complained but they said that is the best they could do and were also rude. the foldable was very uncomfortable so the three of us shared the bed. they did the same to another traveler.
