Great location and comfort

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: Location and style
Cons: N/A
Location: Shopping, Park, Great local food choices.
From the time I arrived to checkout the staff were welcoming and very helpful. I liked the locations and the hotel provides free car services for anything that is not within walking distance.

Perfect location on Nob Hill.

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Everything. Not one bad experience. The walls are a bit thin but I accept that as the place was built when travelers had a sense of decorum.
Cons: Nothing. The place was perfect.
Location: On Nob Hill. Try Nob Hill Cafe, Osso Steakhouse, Tadich Grill or the Big 4 restaurant in the hotel. Lot's of other stuff just a couple of blocks awa
My wife had a 5 day seminar at the Cathedral so I searched for something close and somewhat affordable. Lo and behold I discovered the Scarlet which was across the street and very nice. Super old hotel built in 1920 and recently remodeled. One of the nicest restaurants and bar I've found in years. Room was spacious, help was wonderful and the bar was the place to be in the evening. Mostly locals and friendly. The neighborhood is outstanding and totally safe...plus a lovely park across the street full of dogs. It's on the cable car line and bus is one block away so you can get anywhere in town easily. I can't say enough about the staff and bar help...just good people and sincere about it.

Old fashioned style

Hotel with great decor in nob hill. Walking distance to union square, financial district, and pacific heights. Elegant pool, though a bit small for laps. Very small gym.

Lovely Hotel

Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: We loved the nob hill location.
We were only there for one night for a retirement party so we didn't spend much time in the hotel. The time we did spend there was delightful. We loved our room, the décor & the nob hill location. Also the staff were wonderful. Had a great conversation with your Chef Concierge.

Hotel bien situé

Posted Feb 24, 2015

Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: We did lots of walking around. I would recommend going to a Walgreens and getting a bus pass if looking to do site seeing or shopping.
Hotel was in an excellent location. The workers were very friendly, helpful, and polite. The bathroom did not have a fan for the shower so had to open the window to let the steam from the shower out ( more of an annoyance since it was late February). The restaurant had excellent food, quick service. Downside to the restaurant was the waiter never came back until meal was completely gone, He checked on other tables but left ours alone. Also the room was very darkly lit. I would recommend the spa, excellent facilities.

Unexpected Upgrade

Posted Feb 23, 2015
We booked a room at the hotel for a special celebration although we did not tell the hotel the reason. When we arrived we were upgraded to a suite. It was such a pleasant surprise and it made our visit fantastic. I also want to give a shout out for their bath products, La Occitane. Loved them.

Nice boutique hotel

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Good to stay somewhere different from the normal "chains". Good service with very friendly staff.
Cons: No minibar, hiring on demand movies a hassle, room coffee making machine good, but with limited supplies and no ability to order coffee before 7am.
Nice hotel next to tram lines for short trips to tourist spots

Nice hotel, friendly staff, close to everything

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, staff, location, quality.
Cons: Free wi-fi please!
Location: Very close to Union Square and you could even walk to Fisherman's wharf.
I was not expecting such a fantastic experience at Scarlet Huntington and it was certainly worth the money. The staff are a delight to deal with with special mention to their Concierge, Chris. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained. It's located in a very good area of SF and it's within walking distance to many attractions. Free Wi-Fi would have been nice but still didn't take away from the experience itself.
