Excellent location, good facility, great beds

I stayed on the 30th floor with a fairly good view of the city, keeping in mind you're not right next to the water. This hotel is a fair walk from the ferry building and very close to Union square, but it's a pleasant area and there is plenty of stuff to do especially if you're in the mood for shopping. It's very close to the Moscone center so it suits different types of travelers well. The staff gave me a choice of rooms and I appreciated that flexibility. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and I very much appreciated the complimentary water bottles. I really could not find any major faults with this property; they're doing things right. Of course, as is typical for an upscale property, amenities such as wireless Internet access are not free. When it came to what's important, it's great -- I slept very well. Also of note: the bar and restaurant seem to be pretty popular.

Beautiful hotel, located right on market street. My family and I stayed only one night. Checked in late and they didn't have room I requested. No problem the front desk upgraded us to a beautiful suite.

Great hotel in good position close to Union Square

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Modern hotel that was clean and had all the facilities required.
Cons: Buffet breakfast.
Location: Shopping, sightseeing, eating at Fisherman's Wharf are just a few things to do. We also took a limo tour around the city, which was fantastic.
Two nights in the Westin hotel in San Fran was wonderful. Great room on 32nd floor with fantastic views and they allowed us a late check out of 3pm as we weren't flying until the evening. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Pros: Location
Location: Nice walk to the ball park, great running down to the Embarcadero, Starbucks and Peets coffee just outside the hotel.
Great visit to SF, didn't spend too much time at the hotel.

Huge Dissapointment

Cons: See comments above.
The room smelled of bad body odor. The bedding was old and run down. My stay was Thurs thru Mon and they never changed the sheets. They did not use a fitted sheet and my feet kept rubbing against the bed pad. I pulled the covers all the way off the bed and saw a very old, ratty bed cover with hairs on it - disgusting. The bathroom light was barely existent. The bath robe did not feel or smell clean and you could tell it was incredibly old. Overall quality extremely sub-par. I will never stay there again!

Excellent Stay

Posted Apr 7, 2014
We were offered a room upgrade at check in for a nominal increase and we took it. We had a room with a beautiful view overlooking Yerba Buena Gardens. We had no street noise at all. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and modern. The hotel staff was gracious and professional. Check in was easy and the parking garage across the street was convenient and reasonable for San Francisco. We were close enough to walk to dinner and the theater. It was a great stay and we will defiantly return.

Nice hotel with one amazing staff member

Pros: Central location, great staff experience, close to BART and MUNI, great views from high floors
Location: The location at 3rd and Market allows for quick access to Montgomery Station and Powell Station. Great shopping nearby. Eat at Hops & Hominy.
The Westin Market Street is just like any other 4 star hotel in San Francisco. It's nice, clean, close to business and tourist sites, and reasonably priced. Without Zeke at the front desk, the trip would have been great. With Zeke, the trip became spectacular. He kindly upgraded us to the 32nd floor without charge, sent my partner and me free champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, made spot-on bar and restaurant recommendations in each area of the city we inquired about, and even came over and asked about our stay when we ran into him on the street when he was off duty. The Westin Market Street is nice, and I would definitely recommend it for business traveling, couples getting away to the city for a weekend, and perhaps small familities. But Zeke is the true treasure of the hotel and the asset we will remember most about our stay.
