Road trip of America

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: There was free parking and the location as good.
Cons: The coffee was poor and not much of it. Parking was cramped. Desk staff were a bit surly. The room was not very clean.
Location: The location was good, near Fisherman's Wharf and the Columbus Avenue cultural area, yet relatively free of shady characters.
We were driving north on the US western seaboard from Los Angeles and spent 2 nights in San Francisco, which is a great city.

We were looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay, and this place was nice. Over-all place was clean, location to fishermans warf was good. Easy to park, and close to several resturants. Nice place to sleep.

great location, great price

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: The location and the price.
Cons: They need to watch out for people who don't pay for parking, taking up other peoples spots. Although there is a sign that states that they tow.
Location: It's two blocks up from the Cannery and close to the start of the trolley car.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I liked the $15 parking in and out privileges. Although, on one night there was not enough parking, so we had to squeeze into a spot that was not really a parking spot. Obviously it's not the Ritz Carlton, it's a motel. But it was clean and the location couldn't have been better.

Perfect location

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: The hotel was in a perfect spot for sightseeing, close to the pier and the bus stop was just outside our door.
Cons: Not a big enough lobby.
Location: Close to everything, perfect if you don't want to rent a car.
We were able to hear noise from the streets and the rooms above us. Bring earplugs.

Quality place near everything good

Posted Feb 8, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: My only complain was that the bed was too stiff, so not all that comfortable, but everything else was amazing.
Location: It is on Market Street and right next to Fisherman's Wharf, so there is tons of amazing food without having to go far.
The low price of this place, especially being so close to Fisherman's Wharf, made me suspicious. However, I am extremely glad I stayed here. The hotel room was of amazing quality, having a fridge, microwave, closet, incredible shower in the bathroom, and so much more. It was one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Not only was it close to the beach, the chocolate factory, bike rentals, etc., but it was also at the end of Market Street. Walk up the street and you can find all kinds of amazing food places on every side, one after the other, for miles. We ate our way through the city and never had to stray away from the major street the hotel was on. The staff were also incredibly friendly, giving us directions, advice on where to eat and places to go, and even were courteous enough to help me out with printing my boarding passes the night before we left. Overall, this place was amazing!

affordable, great location!

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: cheap, great location, cheap parking
Cons: need bureaus or those suitcase racks. continental breakfast is useless.
Location: walking to wharf and cable cars!
The hotel has been newly renovated, so rooms had brand new paint, rugs and furnishings. (although, with everything new the toilet seat was old, as someone has previously mentioned). Stayed in king room two nights. noiseless, roomy, but lack of places to put a suitcase. On our return to San Francisco, we decided to book a room again for one night. We received a room with 2 full beds. New, but very tight, no place to put a suitcase except in the skinny walkway in front of beds. The noise from upstairs rooms was a little annoying, but not too bad. Family staff very nice. Parking cheap and at hotel for 15$. Every other hotel was 30-40$ in a parking garage. Great location, walking distance to wharf, cable car, and MUNI buses. Cheap, clean, friendly. Don't expect any luxuries!

Nice Hotel close to Fisherman's Wharf

Posted Jan 31, 2014
We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. We got it for a great price. Since they are in the middle of a remodel, the out side is kind of messy and the rooms need a little more attention to detail. But we would definitely come back .
