Convenient and AffordablePosted Nov 29, 2013
Location: Several good places to eat nearby. The SANDWICH SPOT is EXCELLENT!!
Within walking distance to most needed Muni stops. Staff was always helpful. Street noise could be heard, but hey what do you expect? Its Lombard St. Not hotelier's fault.

Great Location, Great cost, Great ServicePosted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: LOCATION! PRICE! SERVICE!
Cons: Could use new doors for road sound reasons, and some new blankets.
Location: Chestnut Street, Lombard Street itself, The wharf...all close by and GREAT for bars and restaurants.
This is a motel, so anyone should know you aren't usually getting fancy accommodations. I booked this location and couldn't have been happier about it for what I paid. Chestnut street behind the hotel is great at night and the Wharf is not far, we walked there several times as well as everywhere else. It's more of a village area around here, beautiful, clean. I preferred this because I'm from NYC and a lot of the rest of San Francisco is like 5th Ave and not very different. As for the room, it was what I expected. I mainly cared that it was clean. It was bigger than I thought, but we didn't need much room as we only slept here. It could probably use new doors for sound purposes and some new blankets and stuff, but overall, it was a decent experience. I WOULD stay here again because we really didn't have any issues.

For the price, can't beat it!Posted Oct 28, 2013
Cons: Better internet, better pillows.
Very friendly staff, great location, parking and very reasonable. Horrible internet! Clean and cheap. Bathroom facilities look as though they were just remodeled. Small room but was only there to sleep. Would stay again. For the price, can't beat it!

Central locationPosted Oct 25, 2013
After reading some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive but although the hotel is in need of repair, the room was clean and comfortable. The airconditioner worked well once you figure out how to get it going, but the television was really fuzzy. Close to bus stop, laundromat and pharmacy. Surrounded by lots of nice restaurants. The free parking was a plus although quite narrow.

Ok if you are not going to spend much time therePosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Good shower.
Cons: Pillows and bed
Beds too soft, pillows full of foam. Staff was nice - close to my daughter's place.

Stopped in San Fran for some food and shoppingPosted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: The price was less than others in the area. The name helped with the choice.
Cons: The smell could be improved... it was quite overwhelming when we walked into the room.
Location: The location was nice. Shopping right around the corner and nice place to get a bite to eat.
It was a just OK place. The room kind of smelled of ummmmm... my be urine..? Not sure... it kind of went away after a shower. We didn't stay too long in the room. Basically to sleep and shower.

Enjoyed my stay. Very satisfiedPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Staff helpfulness. Also the room was very acceptable at a price that was right.
Cons: Adequate Parking. But an indignity was narrow spots. Even though the sign says "Don't back in," it will be wise to practice parking in tight spaces.
Location: Location was in an enjoyable combination of local and tourist traffic.
If my usual standard was the Hyatt or the Marriot this hotel did not quite get there. However, given the price, location, and staff friendliness I was very satisfied and would certainly book there again. Staff friendliness was a real plus. Always glad to assist and extremely helpfull. A real credit. The room was comfortable and certainly acceptable given what I was looking for and expecting. The free parking was also appreciated and it seemed to be ample. I have stayed in other hotels where there were not enough spots and a clear message was sent not to leave your spot once you have checked in. Although the location was not particularly close to the tourist areas like fisherman's wharf, my objective was to bike around the city and having a bicycle made up for this. Fisherman's Wharf was about a 10 minute very scenic bike ride. What I really appreciated (and didn't expect) was the motel was located in a real neighborhood, the Cow Hollow area. It was an enjoyable mixture of local character with some vibrant local restaurants, shops, and markets. It was a good mix of locals who seemed somewhatt upscale and the tourists, who were all happy. And why not, they were visiting San Francisco. This was an excellent intangible benefit for me. In the past I have either stayed at the airport, the Hyatt, or along a commercial strip and this local mix was refreshing.

Too few parking spacesPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: The room was clean, and there was a mini-fridge.
Cons: Warn guests ahead of time that there is limited parking.
Location: Lots of shopping nearby. It was convenient for me because it was close to my daughter, but was not too close to tourist attractions.
One of the reasons I picked this hotel was because they advertised free parking, which is hard to find in San Francisco. However, when I arrived there were I found the lot was very small and there were no empty parking spaces. I found myself at a parking meter wishing I'd brought quarters. Fortunately, a space opened up on the street after the meters were no longer necessary, (weekend) and I was able to park there for the night.
