“Convenient location and very comfortable”

My son lives in San Francisco and my husband and I find this hotel quite comfortable for our long week end visits. The lobby is inviting with loads of sitting and there is a restaurant and cafe/bar right in the lobby- very open and cozy. The rooms are equally pleasing and you can literally walk to everything from this location. Most importantly, it appears that this chain of boutique hotels knows how to make your stay a pleasant experiencee.

We've stayed here for the past 5 years at holiday time and we love it. Rooms clean, comfortable and walking distance to all shopping and attractions. Daily wine reception is terrific. We always think we'll try someplace new but why? This is tried and true! We highly recommend it.

“A beautiful and cozy hotel”

Even though the rooms were small, they were very cozy and made you feel more at home. The hotel's decor was old meets modern and we just loved it. The hotel also has a fantastic Italian restaurant downstairs that I still crave their capellini and tiramisu. Overall we had a wonderful experience at this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful hotel. A bit noisy at night (sounds from local pub and garbage trucks) Got a great deal through expedia. Location can't be beat!

Very nice Hotel located almost directly accross from Union Square. Nice restaurants and plenty of shopping. Close to everything. Our room was in the back of the hotel, so it was very quite. Room was quite comfortable.

“Will definitely go back”

There is little space to move around in the room with two double beds. A room I saw with one king-size bed was much more spacious. Other than that, I found the hotel extremely appealing. The room was quiet and clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The lobby and neighboring restaurant are charming, and the atmosphere was much more to my liking than that in the business environment of the major chain hotels. Both travellers and people on business trips seem to stay at this hotel. The location is very central, within walking distance of the convention center and many parts of the city. I was in San Francisco on a business trip, but will definitely stay at the Villa Florence when I take my kids to San Francisco.

“cant beat the location”

Hotel is perfect location. Close to the BART and Union Square. I have been staying at the hotel the past four years I have been going to SF. The service is good and cant beat the complimentary wine in the evening.

“Great Hotel in Great Location”

As everyone says, the rooms are small. But they don't need to be any bigger for a weekend in San Fransisco. Nicely decorated and clean. We were offered a "quiet room on the back" or a room facing the street. We took the quiet room and it was perfect. We slept like babies. Our friends took the room on the street and were woken up at 3 am by the garbage truck. Concierge was great and location was fantastic (all transit very close by). I would stay at this hotel again. The Italian restaurant on site was disappointing.
