Great location

Everything was very pleasing except for the street noise. We were on the 7th floor and I had to wear ear plugs to drown out the noise from traffic all night long

Good location

Within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. Much needed renovations to be done in 2015. Not enough counter space in the bathroom. Parking is expensive and it takes a while to get car from valet.

Excellent location

Excellent location and helpful and pleasant staff but I wish I'd known the tired looking rooms and hallways were about to undergo a major renovation.

Great location near Union Square.

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Great location. Quaint.
Cons: Parking. There are only two spots to park and unload luggage. Taken when we first arrived, we had to circle around two times, that took forever!
Location: Great Union Square location. Plenty of shopping, walking distance to Embarcadero.
Spent one night. Very nice 'old' hotel. Rooms are very small but we did not stay in the room long; just to sleep/shower. Hotel staff was great. Looks like they are going to remodel soon and the photos and samples are on display. It will be a great improvement since the decor is dated.

Older but nice

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Location on Union Square. Staff professionalism and friendliness.
Cons: Room upgrades (already scheduled) are needed.
Our stay at Villa Florence was very nice. Staff is friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating. King Suite room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Obviously an older hotel, but well-kept. Hotel is planning room upgrades during 2015 which will move it to "excellent" in all categories for me.

Nice Hotel in a Great Spot

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Love the location, restaurant, cafe, and staff.
Cons: Bathroom was tiny with no space to set things down. Room was stuffy with only window AC unit which cleaning staff kept turning off.
Location: 1 block from Union Square, so amazing shopping, restaurants, and bars nearby.
Villa Florence is in a great spot a block from Union Square. The restaurant and cafe attached to the hotel are fantastic. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful.

Great Location for Union Square

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Better cleaning job
Location: Next to Union Square
Room was nice and location is great but remodel in 2015 will make hotel better. Shower & hanging lights not clean and bad smell by the ground floor elevador from the restaurant.
