“Koleto's disappointment.”

Hotel experience was without flaw. Would stay here again. Challenge was with the adjacent resturant - Kuleto's. Asked another couple to join us for breakfast as my wife really wanted to eat there. Even though it was not very busy: It took quite a while to receive service, wife stated no goat cheese - omlete came with goat cheese, after getting attention from the waitress she states we are wrong and it is not goat cheese - "it was goat cheese so she finaly took it back to correct. We proceeded to eat with out her order to find all of our food was very cold - pancakes and oatmeal would not even melt butter/sugar. We forced down what we could, paid and left. Did not return for the planned dinner and will not ever come back.

“So enjoyed my expereince!”

The location of the hotel is wonderfully close to stores to shop, restaurants to eat, and parks to relax. My room was very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive to my wants. I look forward to a returning to San Francisco and to the Villa Florence.

“A wonderful Experience”

This was a wonderful experience with a very accommodating staff. The location of the hotel is ideal for Union Square and proximity to BART. I also enjoyed the cuisine in both restaurants located in the hotel as well as Starbucks on the conner! I would love to stay there again!

“Simply top notch service!”

The only bad thing I can say about my stay at the Villa Florence is that it didn't last longer! A friend of mine and I came to stay for a weekend, and we were beyond impressed with the hotel. First of all, every single person, from the doorman to the desk clerk to the waiter in the hotel cafe was friendly, polite and eager to please. Anything we asked for, we received quickly and with a smile. Beyond this, the hotel was so beautifully decorated. Much better than the typical, generic feel you get at some of the bigger chain hotels. A huge bonus for me, a self-professed toiletry snob, were the L'Occitane amenities. If you haven't used them before, they are some of the best! As for the "cons" (they are really nit-picky) the hotel does have that "older" kind of dusty smell in the hallways. However, anyone who has stayed in SF with any regularity knows that this is the norm for most hotels in the city, especially if one wishes to stay in the midst of downtown. In some prior reviews, some complained about the condition of the rooms, furniture, etc. None of this was noticeable to me. Admittedly, the furniture pieces were mostly antiques and some have minor chips or dings, but I found these to be charming, not distracting features. Bottom line: If you prize impeccable service, enjoy a unique and posh hotel experience (without the budget of a Rockefeller) and want a convenient home base from which to explore San Francisco, this is the hotel for you! Thanks Villa Florence!

“Great getaway!”

A great spot in Union Square. Close to shopping, bars and great restaurants. The room was nice and clean. We were warned that the room may be noisy as it faced Powell Street but it was quiet and comfortable. Will stay here again when in San Francisco.

“Good business travelers hotel...”

Staff wonderful...food from adjoining restaurant and bar excellent. Room was small and AC window unit a little loud, but for one person for two days it was fine. Definitely would stay again since it was so close to everything.
