“The hidden AAA+++”
Great location, perfect quality rooms, clean, free parking !!!
“Perfect Location”
Hotel was in a great location; easy walk to anything in the Warf area. Free parking was a real bonus for this area. the hotel was pretty old and not the nicest but was reasonable clean. Either the walls were really thin or we had the loudest snoring neighbor on the planet in the room next door. the street was pretty loud too. Taking everything into account, I WOULD stay there again. The location can not be beat for the price.
“Good location”
Good location, Free parking. Rooms need remodeling
“Convenient location, rude service, and just "ok" room”
If your main concern is close location to Fisherman's Wharf and saving cost on parking, then this is the place for you. This is an older, unattractive hotel that feels more like low-income housing than a hotel. It serves the purpose for a hotel, but I will not be going back. The lady at the front desk was VERY rude. My nephew got carsick and I asked for directions to the closest coin laundry facility. She gave me directions and specifically stated, "TWO BLOCKS up the street". We walked four blocks and circled back to the hotel. When we returned she said, "FIVE BLOCKS up the street" and that I should have used my common sense to keep going. WHAT??? What ever happened to customer service?
“Super Spot!”
I've stayed in this location before and paid double the rates plus parking. The Wharf Inn was a super deal and free parking! It is in a great location for all the activities for Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.I hate the pricey hotel rooms where you get one chair to sit in when the room is for two people-we actually had two comfortable chairs. I will definitely stay here again!
“Fisherman's Wharf Hotel”
The hotel was easy to find, easy to access. It has free, FREE, off street parking which is a rarity. Most hotels charge from $25 to $35 per day for parking. There was some noise from the streets with streetcars on tracks going by the hotel, but nothing we didn't get used to over a couple of nights. Most easy access to Fisherman's Wharf and all cable cars, streetcars and commercial transportation to most anywhere. Would recommend anyone looking for something close to the Wharf to consider the Wharf Inn.
“This hotel is PERFECT!”
Last minute, spontaneous trip to The City. Was on a budget, and concerned about a lower-priced hotel...I was concerned about safety, ickyness, etc. The Wharf Inn was PERFECT for our needs. Free parking in SF...good luck finding that anywhere else in town. Front desk people completely hospitable. Rooms very clean...and I am a germaphobe, so that's saying something. Close to all things Embarcadero and Pier. Double-decker bus p/u right outside front door. The location and price point of this hotel provided the MAXIMUM time to actually enjoy the trip...no searching for parking, alternate transportation, etc. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs or Ambien...walls and floors are thin. But after a full day of sightseeing, you will be exhausted. Emergency food/7-11 across the street. Trader Joes for snacks/wine 1 or 2 blocks down. If I rave anymore I'll make them pay me to do so. If you need a great place to shower/sleep/park...this is it.
“Great, reasonable hotel in a block away from the pier”
This hotel is a great find. Hotel is clean and comfortable, with friendly staff & good free coffee. It is a block away from the pier and in a great spot.
“No Frills, but great location. No major complaints.”
You are 1/2 block from Fishermans Wharf with a 7-11 and Subway directly across the street. The room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable. There is coffee available in the "lobby". but that is the extent of the amenities. I didn't book this hotel for frills-just a clean, comfortable hotel with an awesome, convenient location. That is exactly what I got. One thing that I did not realize and was a complete surprise-There is no AC-just ceiling fans. We opened the small window and were comfortable-even on the 3rd floor with San Frans cool nights, but did get some street noise which is the reason for the 3 on comfort of room. The desk clerk was helpful when asked for directions and restaraunt recommendations. I had the same location as the almost twice as expensive Radisson and Sheraton. I didn't go to spend time in the room. The shower could have been better. The shower head is so high, that by the time it got to my 5'4" head, there was not a lot of pressure. if I had to complain that would be my it along with the no ac. I would stary here again.
“Great Location”
The location was great; walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, the boat to Alcatraz and both of the cable car lines. It was a little noisey but that was to be expected due to where it is. The room was spacious enough for the 4 of us. We lucked out with wonderful weather. We had a little view of the bay. We would return.
