This hotel was amazing , it was right on the piers . So we would walk out of the hotel and the pier and the water were right infront of us , which was awesome . It was a great experience .

Location trumps the faults

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: The location is fabulous!
Location: Location is minutes from everything.
The location of this hotel is 5 star all the way, plus the parking is free (check out adjacent Hilton and Radisson - you'll see they charge at least $50 for parking in addition to the room rate) and free Internet and it's across the street from the Fisherman's Wharf. A minutes walk to restaurants and tourist attractions, about 10 minute walk to Alcatraz tour dock, 10 minutes or less the other way to Ghirardelli square. Across the street is a 7/11, and Hot Spud which is the best baked potato (options include stuffed with beef or vegetarian, etc., yummy and cheap which nothing else in SF is) then a block away is an IHOP, a block away is Trader Joe's grocery store, 1 1/2 block away is a Safeway grocery store. Location is "to die for"... Price was less than the other hotels in the area. Now the bad, and why the price is less...the rooms are like an old Travelodge or a Motel 6. Not awful, but you are paying for the location not the remodeled, elegant room. Ours had a balcony which was nice. The road it's on is where the San Francisco BigBus picks up across the street so that provided some noise of buses coming and going. The 7/11 usually had pan handlers in front at night. Our room was right on the street so there were times it was noisy. I brought ear plugs so it was not a problem. I do however suggest that you ask for a room away from the street, ask for a quieter room - they do have them! Key card needed for the elevator so it's safe. Coffee and newspapers in lobby

Pros: nichts
Cons: abreissen!!!!!

Great place to stay!!!

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: This hotel is in the heart of the wharf area. Just steps away from everything.
Cons: A microwave would have been great. :)
Location: The Big Bus tour is right across the street. Great tour if it's your first visit.
We loved our stay at the Wharf Inn. The front desk staff was Fantastic! We used the cable car and bus line to get around and this location worked out perfect. I already told a lot of people to stay at Wharf Inn.

Ok hotel in a busy , noisy , but good location .

Staff was great! First night we stayed in the back side at garage and it was loud. Rest of week, we stayed on city side and it was a lot better room and view and quieter. It was an ok place, but noisy.

Weekend getaway!

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Loved the location, within walking distance of everything.
Cons: The only thing I would have liked is if there was a bath tub and not just a shower.
Location: The location was perfect, walking distance to Pier 39, great shopping there and good restaurants close by.
We arrived a bit early and our room wasn't quite ready so we went to Pier 39 to grab something to eat. When we got back we checked in. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The staff even left extra towels for us. I like that they have updated TV's in the rooms. For the price of our room it was perfect! The office staff were extremely courteous and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

Great location

Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: Good location, close to attractions and public transport. Free parking. Nice view for once!
Cons: No air conditioning so the room heated like an oven through the course of the day. Room keys stopped working a couple of times and had to be re-set.
Location: Within walking distance of all the Touristy stuff, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz Ferry, Cable Car. Lots of food options and public transport near by.
Good value for money. Nice clean room, comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Private Balcony Makes the Room

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Balcony
Cons: rooms
Location: ideal location to war and pretty much walking distance to all districts
room not much to say about, staff friendly and cool. Hotel location amazing, but the private balcony made up for everything we though the hotel was lacking...
