"Great Boutique Hotel in central Escazu"
So Escazu is a suburb of San Jose, Costa Rica, but central Escazu feels like a small town. Another part of Escazu has the fancy shopping malls (about a 10 minute drive from central Escazu). Beacon Escazu is near the Escazu center with its small central park nearby. Beacon offers a great value for the room rates: large rooms, bathrobes, spacious bathrooms, free light breakfast, beautiful landscaping, and a friendly staff. I'd like to single out Antonio as being exceptional - he fulfilled all requests efficiently and seemed pleased to do so.

"A little gem!"
We spent one night only in Casa 69, the entrance to which is a blank yellow doorway with coded security locks in an unassuming corner of San Jose. Once inside, we were astonished and delighted by the relaxed feel and look of the place, and by the friendly welcome we received from the charming lady owner. Our top-floor room was decorated with the style and quality of a MUCH more expensive hotel, and we loved that too. Very comfortable and all services provided in immaculate condition, and breakfast was very good too. If we'd opted for a second alcoholic drink before finding a meal outside, we'd definitely have switched to beer cos the red and white wine was just weird: that was the only aspect of Casa 69 that didn't impress us a lot and maybe we'd had too much sun... Thanks for the stay!

"Beautiful Resort in the hills of San Jose"
The Ringle Resort was absolutely beautiful, and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our week long stay. We were lucky enough to stay in the casita, which included an entire kitchen, dining room, laundry room, living room with a large sectional, and of course a bedroom and en suite bathroom with a huge shower with rainfall shower heads. Everything is extremely clean and updated. All of the staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and approachable. They really do anything they can to please their guests. The restaurant, although it is a little on the pricey side, is tasty and has beautiful views of San Jose. I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone who wants a quiet and peaceful stay on the outskirts of the city.

"Great refuge in San Jose"
we just spent two nights there with our kids (ages 10 and 8), one night on each end of a week-long trip to Costa Rice. It was the perfect place to stay in San Jose - very comfortable, clean, great service, great food, relaxing.
