Nice bed and breakfast in a beautiful area.Posted Mar 26, 2014
We had a very nice stay at Casa Isabella. The only part that was hard to adapt to was that toilet paper had to be put into lidless garbage cans. With 5 people using a bathroom it felt a bit un higienic. The views from the bedroom were stunning and the owner was very helpful at providing directions and recommendations. The butterfly sanctuary was a short walk away and our kids loved it.

Two Nights at Casa IsabellaPosted Nov 8, 2013
Pros: Comfortable Rooms and a very nice breakfast is included. They also have a secured parking area for your vehicle.
Cons: More access to staff in the evenings.
Location: Difficult location to find. There are no restaurants that can be reached on foot from the restaurant, but they can have food delivered in the evening.
Very Nice. Linda, who greeted me upon my arrival was very helpful and showed me to my room.

Home away from home!!!Posted Oct 15, 2013
The stay at Casa Isabella was perfect. We felt like we had come home to our vacation home, or to a family members home. The staff was courteous, professional, helpful and very proactive. I would highly recommend Casa Isabella to any traveler, even the most demanding tourist will enjoy this B&B. Felicidades Roberto you have a great home...thanks for sharing it with us. **note: We were in Escazú which is a drive from San Jose, but that is PERFECT...you want to stay away from the big city.

Nice hotel in Escazu Costa RicaPosted Oct 3, 2013
Location: Near shopping centers, health care centers, restaurants
We spent several nights in Casa Isabella. The owner is very welcoming and ready to help you out with whatever you may need to make your stay smooth. Staff is also great. They also offer a variety of tours in Costa Rica. I'll definitely go back there in the future. This is really a nice spot whether you are just "arriving" to Costa Rica or spending your last days in San Jose.

Friendly B&BPosted Apr 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very accomodating staff. English of owner is a bit halting. She went out of her way to accomodate breakfast requests. Room was very clean. Excellent view of city below. Request one of the first floor rooms since the ceiling slopes dramatically on the second floor and I bumped my head on the ceiling. Within taxi distance of everything in Escazu. Be sure to see the butterfly farm just around the corner. We will stay here again.

Casas Isabella :: Pura VidaPosted Apr 2, 2013
Location: Not optimal, but worth the drive.
Quaint cottage with an old world charm, very nicely appointed. Although a little farther from the airport than I would have liked, I would stay there again.

Great B&B in a residential suburb of San Jose!Posted Feb 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very beautiful old home, nice spacious rooms, nice breakfast. Very friendly owners. Surrounding area is simple and residential, so you need a car to get around - it's not like downtown, where you can safely walk on sidewalks. Stayed there on our last night in Costa Rica since it's only 20 min from the airport. Strongly recommend for convenient access to airport and the B&B itself.

Cute Bed and Breakfast, but in a Random LocationPosted Oct 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a beautiful house of Robert and his wife. Robert came and picked us up at the airport (but later charged us $30 for doing so!). The room was great and the living room was so cozy. They made us a nice breakfast the next morning, with fruits, juice and coffee. We had to take a taxi to get to where we were going because Robert had to give someone else a ride. Their house is kind of in the middle of a random neighborhood, so location is not a plus. But service, and cleanliness, were great. Robert called so many hotels to try to help us get the reste of our trip in CR figured out - he was so patient and sweet. Thank you Robert!

A great stay in EscazuPosted Sep 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
Casa Isabella made our whole trip to Costa Rica effortless. Robert really made us feel like a member of his family. He picked us up at the airport (for a nominal fee), showed us tremendous hospitality, helped recommend restaurants, took us into downton Escazu when able, took us into San Jose (for cheaper than a taxi), provided an emergency cell phone for us, fed us breakfast at our convenience, even swapped swapped stories on the front porch. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and comfy. In fact, the bed was SUPER comfy - didn't want to get out of it! It's a fairly treacherous 20 minute walk to downtown Escazu (take the 5 minute taxi ride) and a 10-15 minute taxi ride into downtown San Jose. So everything you would want to see in and around San Jose is no more than a few minutes away even though the house is in a peaceful, tropical, mountain neighborhood. You get a lovely view of the city lights at night and cool mountain breezes even in late August! If I ever go back to Costa Rica, this is the place I will stay again. You will never find a nicer, friendlier place for the price!
