Cons: Start shuttle service a little bit earlier than 6AM
Location: The C Lounge bar/restaurant is about 50-100 feet away and the food was excellent and they make great drinks.
The staff was very professional and room was great. Only thing that was disappointing was the free shuttle to the airport doesn't start until 6AM, so the 7:35AM Delta flight from SJO to LAX is cutting it too close so I had to pay a taxi to get back to the airport.

Good midway location between airport and San Jose

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Cons: It's a bit dated.
Overall good value for money, though the hotel is a bit dated. The location in smack between the airport and San Jose, which is convenient. We only stayed one night as we were passing through town. When we got there at about 11:30pm - we were obviously dead tired and weren't thrilled by the fact that the front desk clerk had to restart the computer system to download our reservation from Expedia, which extended check in to almost 20 minutes. All in all, we had a good night's sleep and would stay here again.

Nice hotel close to airport.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The location.
Location: Great location to the airport. Restaurants, bar, pharmacy and grocery on the same block.
This was a very good hotel to keep us close to the airport. There are several restaurants, bars, pharmacy and grocery on the same block - nice to have those options within a 2 minute walk! Staff was very helpful.

OK if you just need to sleep

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Staff, breakfast, my room was quiet but it was situated on the opposite side of the highway
Cons: room condition is poor ( not horrible, but needs upgrading ) I thought Carlson was a bit more upscale
The room was a bit run down. Bed was comfy, I think ( I was so tired I probably could have slept in a fire pit ). The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so don't expect to walk to any activities. Staff was very nice, co-operative and helpful. If you are just looking for a quick sleep dash, I guess it is fine, but it could hardly be considered a vacation destination

Convenient for SJO and San Jose city

Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: Location, on the main Highway 1 and convenient to get into San Jose either by bus or using your own car. Also close to the Airport.
Cons: We thought the rooms furnishings were a bit 'dated' but the hotel is being renovated so this is probably "in hand".
Location: Close to San Jose city and the International Airport which are accessible either by public transport or using your own car.
This was actually our second short stay here as we had stayed at the property for 2 nights just 2 weeks earlier. We were given a room very close to the one we had occupied previously. The room was comfortable if slightly "dated" as to furnishings. Very nice pool area but the water was very cold. Breakfast is very good and taken in a very pleasant area overlooking the pool. Staff very friendly, pleasant and helpful. There is a programme of renovations under way here but that was not intrusive or noisy. It may be that our comment about slightly "dated" rooms is being addressed. All in all a pleasant stay.

I couldn't find it n it was near all other hotels , however gps picked it up when I was a mile away , I'm there tired and ready for sleep and now I get my room and the room was nice until ,I turned on lights n realised they had given me a room that had not clean, thanks for the towel on the bathroom floor. Then the proceed to give me a room that looked it belonged in the 90's .

Airport Hotel

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: I'd suggest that because of the hotel being older and needed extreme improvements, that the rates be lowered to compensate for those facts.
Location: Restaurants are nearby as well as shopping.
This hotel was close enough to the airport for our early flight, however, it is very old and rundowns. Although, it is currently under renovations to make improvements, the room was terribly small as were the hallways to get to the room. It felt very poorly designed and everything from the TV in the room to the pools outside were just so old and rundown. The breakfast was good, as was the staff and the location was ok.

Average!

Posted May 7, 2014
Nothing fancy, we had a one night stay before our flight in the morning. Rooms and corridors are dated, no elevator. Bathroom very dated, carpet in room looks worn out. Location is hard to get to if you are driving, if being driven then no problem. Left too early to experience the free breakfast so cannot say anything about that. Free shuttle to the airport (10 minutes away) on the hour starting at 6 am. Front desk forgot our wake up call, luckily we also set the alarm!

Convenient for public transport into San Jose

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Great breakfast in pleasant surroundings around the pool. Free wi-fi in the room. Very good helpful staff. Free secure parking. Easy into San Jose .
Cons: Rooms are a bit dated ( or ours was) but there is a renovation programme under way currently.
Location: On a main road ( the 1) into San Jose. Easy into the city by public bus as there is a bus stop very close by. Also close to the International airport.
Nice hotel with a very pleasant pool area and a very good breakfast. Unfortunately it rained whilst we were there so the pool was a ' no go' but under different circumstances feel sure it would have been very nice. Rooms a bit 'dated' but there is a renovation programme under way. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast in a very nice restaurant overlooking the pool area; a great way to start the day. Hotel is very convenient for getting into San Jose using public transport as there is a bus stop only few metres along the road and a direct service. All in all very good for the price.
