Very nice hotel in a great area

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Having to spend one night in LA before catching an early flight home the next day, this was an excellent hotel very close to LAX. The room was small, but clean & comfortable with a nice view. It was also within walking distance to cafes & restaurants. The staff was very nice & helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in LA.

Pros: the brunch is superb
Cons: the staff,
Location: good, but everyone thinks you are rich if you stay there and taxi's charge more.
pillow uncomfortable and woke several times with neck pain. hot rooms, fans great, but no screens and there were mosquitos.

The rooom had a musty smell and there are no elevators. Far away from the city. It is US $10.00 by taxi cab to the city.

A sweet place to stay.

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Staff, Location.
Cons: A little updating. there was not enough outlets and only one light in the bathroom, small and over the sink.
Location: The whole city is with in blocks from you.
The Hotel is older, and the rooms show it. The staff is wonderful, the Location right down town. The breakfast was great. The first room I was put into was older and the fan didn't work. The next room was cute and the fan worked very well. But the location and staff made up for any problem we had. I would stay here again.

A night on the town

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Love this location and antique charm. Yes the hotel is old, yes the rooms are small, but you are in the heart of San José at a place with architecture and character that's not sleazy or ridiculously expensive. I was pleased from the complimentary welcome beverage to the breakfast buffet in the gorgeous top floor area. Mattress was typical Costa Rican quality, firm, not cushy. Wish they hadn't painted the building that awful sad gray! The hotel used to look so much better, happy and inviting when it was yellow!

The hotel across the National Theatre

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: the hotel is in the main square.
Cons: bathrooms needs to be updated like eg. sink was cracked.
Location: The hotel is right in front of the national theatre and the square which underneath of it is the gold museum. Everything is very close to the hotel.
the shower water temperature cannot maintain its temperature while showering.

Hotel muy deteriorado

Posted Mar 24, 2015 on Hotels
