There is no office staff available during the night. Safes must be requested. One very small towel is provided for each room. The bedding is sub-par. Biggest detraction is the the cantina-bar with extremely loud music and people noise (bedlam) until midnight each night - in some cases until 3:30 AM. The hotel booked two loud parties on the last night I was there. The food is adequate, but the bar quite expensive and its food is so-so. Despite multiple efforts to ensure that the hotel reserved a cab for my trip to the airport, the driver and cab never showed. In the early AM in this part of Costa Rica, there is no place to call or for help on transport. The night security person was helpless in this situation. Fortunately, I was able to get the companion of an employee who arrived at 6:00 AM to race me to the airport and was able to catch the flight. Those who have little concern about these fundamental amenities will do fine. Anyone with any personal disabilities would have a difficult time climbing up the steep stairs and walkways (poorly lit at night) to reach their accomodations.
