LOVED this property. The people were great. The surrounding area was pretty dirty and gross, but we found some things to do and some places to eat!

The property was very clean and the central location made going to the National Theater, Metropolitan Cathedral and National Museum very convenient. Very walkable. However, the areas outside the hotel were a little dirty. Felt completely safe during the day. Would not advise to walk alone on the surrounding streets after dark.

Pretty good place if you need to stay in downtown San Jose. Property is safe and clean. Breakfast is great and rooftop is lovely for a drink or dessert.

We only stayed one night in preparation to catch an early morning flight the next day. I didn't get the overall impression that San Jose would be safe at night for 2 women (we would prob look like easy targets for some of the things the guidebooks warn you about). But our stay here was nice only to be made much better by every single staff member we encountered. So helpful and courteous. Would absolutely stay here again or recommend to a friend traveling through.
