Great Place.Posted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: Walking around looking at the architecture of the resort.
Location: Lots to do near by. Have to drive to everything
Feels more like staying at someone's home. We stayed in the biggest suite, was very comfortable, and large. Except you have much privacy. Great view of San Jose. Great if you do not like feeling like you are in a city. No big hotel feel.

Great location and settingPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Decor, size, setting, views, rooms, lay-out.
Cons: Service over night. Seem that front desk retires at 10pm and only a guard overnight which doesnt have much knowledge of much.
Location: The views are priceless. There is an India themed restarunt just 2 mins away with great foo. Name "Taj Mahal"
Well first off i must add that my stay was a two night on the weekend. Still being on a weekend i was the only guest on the property which was amazing since we had the peace and quiet and privacy of the entire hotel. Given this the staff only had my needs to attend which they did greatly and quickly. Again no one else there to assist. The property itself is AMAZING. The views are priceless at night. The room was just what we wanted. Its a mid size resort but very private. I would stay all over again.

San Jose gemPosted Nov 23, 2014
The Ringle Resort is in the finest tradition of a boutique hotel. The estate has magnificent views of San Jose, an idyllic swimming pool & manicured grounds. The rooms are wonderful with travertine tile, beautiful wood & modern everything. And, the restaurant is perfectly situated with an excellent chef. For a very modest price, you will get the feeling of being enveloped in a secluded, intimate & ridiculously beautiful environment that is all your own. If you stay anywhere else in San Jose, you did not get the best value.

True HospitalityPosted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: I loved everything from the staff, to the beautiful grounds.
Cons: I wouldn't improve anything.
Location: There are restaurants just at the bottom of the hill of the resort. There is also an herpetology conservation near displaying Costa Rican wildlife.
This was my first time visiting Costa Rica, so I wanted to experience the culture of the city. The resort is a beautiful private home converted into a hotel. The staff is very attentive to your needs and gives you the personalized experience you just cant get at a large resort. There is even a restaurant onsite with a private chef. If you want to venture out there are restaurants just a few minutes from the resort and convenient to the bus line. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Costa Rica.

Great place to relaxPosted Sep 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Staff very helpfull. They make you feel like your at home. Location is a bit remote so having a car will help. If not its a short taxi ride to some nice places to eat and drink. If you are looking to relax this is the place for you. Its very clean, comfortable, and accomandating.

Nestled on a Hilltop...Posted Jul 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
What a jewel! Pre-arrival questions by phone (local line from US) easily answered and while a couple of taxis had trouble finding the resort, it's seclusion offers a warm welcome (Danielle came out to meet the taxi), clean and fresh a/c room, average breakfast incl (coffee, bread, fresh fruit & yogurt, eggs $ - also open for dinner $$), huge blue tiled unheated pool panoramic and professionally and continuously manicured landscaping. What a gorgeous retreat...!!!

Fantastic setting, city nearby, airport furtherPosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Amazing resort-like location with fantastic view of San Jose. Booked a family room to discover the added price is because this means you get the owners (= presidential) suite. The suite is amazing with wooden floors, an expansive marble bathroom fit for a tycoon, leather chairs and decent cable TV on a big flat screen. It was easily better than the presidential suite of a 4* hotel in Washington DC where we stayed the day after. The hotel is on the far side of the city from the airport, adding $100 roundtrip taxi fare (minivan) with this added expense meaning this isn't so cost effective for an airport stopover. However it is nearer to downtown than other airport hotels. Breakfast was so-so. Service was good. The grounds were impressive. One disappointment to plan around - there's no restaurant open on a Sunday. The alternative is 1/3 mile away across a busy road, down a relatively steep hill.

Excellent Hot Springs and PoolPosted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
The pool and hot springs were the best part. Hard to see the volcano on the Fortuna side during the rainy season. We were also there during the mid-summer school break. Seemed like there were a lot of kids/families at the pool. Less than ideal for our honeymoon. The restaurant was kind of inconsistent. Our waiter (Max) gave spot on recommendations the first night. I got a T-bone that was excellent. The 2nd night we both got the T-bone and it was rare, even cold instead of medium-rare. Kind of disappointing. Overall, the stay was pretty good though.

Amazing find, beautiful place.Posted May 29, 2014
We were very impressed with the hotel's appearance and the room was wonderful. My wife and I finished our honeymoon there and they were very welcoming. The restaurant is very reasonable and everything we had was great.
