The ultimate way to relaxPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The Views and food.
Cons: Bugs come in when you open the door to see the views. We had one big spider, multiple spiders and one friendly lizard.
Location: The location is in lush, beauty. Near buy, you will need to ride 20-45 minutes to the closest and capital. Still fun. Go see it.
My husband and I stayed for one week to celebrate our anniversary. The resort was fabulous. We really enjoyed ourselves. It is not really near anything to walk to so you will need to catch a taxi or arrange for a driver. I personally suggest Alessandro. He was friendly, personable, cautious (when walking around), he respected our wishes, on time and very knowledgably. The resort was very relaxing. There is no AC but the ways the rooms are designed, you do not need AC. The rooms are large and in line with the culture. There was no TV in the rooms but there is a TV room in the main area. The main area does have free Wifi which works very well. We have Verizon and I was able to communicate with my children (big added plus). The trails were great and very in touch with nature. If you choose to go to the Grand waterfall, take breaks. It's very challenging. They do supply walkie talkies for the trips (take them). They supply unopened bottle water, pepsi, juice and cookies in the room at no charge. We enjoyed most of our meals at the resort. Most of them we liked. The "continental" breakfast was the bomb. No need to order separate. Most of the food is grown there. Big selection and you can choose one or all of the items. We loved the Tower of Health. The staff was always there to help out. They are currently teaching staff to speak English. The views were beyond measure. Not enough room to brag. Well worth the money and trip.

Best of San JosePosted Jun 30, 2014
This is an amazing place. How many hotels have grounds with 4 natural waterfalls on their property. We did an amazing hike in the early morning just outside our door. The gardens are superb and the views of the valley below including San Jose are great. Our family of five stayed in a villa that was perfect for us. After a week of travel through out Costa Rica, this was the best room we experienced. It was spacious and very functional, but a highlight was the artistic aspect of the room and the hotel in general. Highly recommend this hotel

Dream Vacation = XandariPosted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
This place can leave you speechless ! ! The villa was beautiful. The views were magnificent. The staff were very kind and generous. I was treated as if I was the most important person in the country. The grounds were exceptionally beautiful and well kept. I was even provided with a personal driver/translator that took me everywhere I wanted to go. I felt like a king in a tropical paradise.

We did not enjoy our stay since we were at Peace Lodge for 2 days before Xandari. Nothing in the way of activities that were close to the hotel. No TV in room. We checked out 2 days early and flew home to USA.

Best way to start and end your tripPosted Apr 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stayed here on the first and last night of our trip to Costa Rica - it was the perfect note to begin and end our trip. Xandari is located only 15 minutes from the airport, but is completely different from its surrounding neighbourhood - the property is beautiful and home to 5 waterfalls. The food is also fresh and delicious, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Xandari again.

Beautiful and near airport; lots of waterfalls!Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Staff and food and views
Cons: Couldn't find our driver at the airport, but we were the 1st people off the plane. Hopped in a taxi no problem.
Excellent place to spend your first night in Costa Rica.

Beautiful resort with friendly servicePosted Apr 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed Xandari very much. It is very calm and the service was impeccable. We only stayed for a night after we landed in San Jose, but it was a great way to start our vacation. The food was really good--fresh and well prepared. Be sure to take a walk around the property and explore the waterfalls and trails. The pools are great. We also used their transfer service to get to Arenal and that worked out really well.

Loved it!Posted Mar 30, 2014
Location: It took us longer than expected to return our rental car and get to the airport - traffic can be bad in town
Great peaceful location with nice views from the room and the restaurant. Original and tasteful decoration. Huge grounds - we did a 1.5 hour walk without leaving the hotel enclave. Friendly staff.
