Pros: right by the lake, charming location.
Cons: no ice at all in two ice chest's i checked near room. room service did deliver ice but could have got it myself if ice makers had been working.
Location: far away from everything. nothing to do nearby. lots to do at the resort but nothing else close nearby.

Pros: Views are breathtaking, swimming and kayaking in the lake surrounded by fish and turtles was a wonderful experience. Flora and fauna are amazing here
Cons: The food is not so great. We expected better amenities in the bathroom.
Location: Its location right in lake Peten makes it a great place to stay. 45 min. from Tikal and Flores island. We loved the boat trip and feeding fish

Poor facilitiesPosted Dec 15, 2013
Pros: The location is good if one wants the go to the Tikal park
Cons: Maintenance, attitude of the staff, particularly the manager
Location: nothing to do except visit the Tikal park
Balcony door did not close but no maintenance crew in spite of repeated requests. The announcement of a complimentary boat tour of the lake is a lie. Every visit there is another excuse of the cancellation. This hotel is connected to the Camino Real in Guatemala City which is in the Westin chain but in this hotel Westin is an unknown The view from the balcony is totally blocked by jungle trees, the lake is hardly visible

Beautiful spot in the jungle... Paradise!Posted Aug 31, 2013
Pros: The location and the facilities
Cons: The food needs to be either better or cheaper
Location: Tikal ruins and others are close by also Flores is a 40min drive, good alternate dinner spot.
Everything about the hotel was fantastic, laying by the pool with toucans flying overhead and howler monkeys in the trees across from us. Great wildlife. Beautiful views of the Lake. Close to Tikal ruins and multiple others, great tourist desk for tours. The only problem is that because you're so far away from everything the restaurant at the resort is your only option. The food is ok but very overpriced! especially for Guatemala! A chicken sandwich is $9.50 USD and the steaks for dinner are pushing $30 USD. Other than the expensive food, we had a brilliant time!
