Close to the SAP Center--FREE breakfast and wifi

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: free full breakfast, free wifi and free parking location-walking distance to the SAP Center
Cons: The place is dated. Could use a refresh of bedding, art, etc.
Location: SAP Center Whole Foods Lots of cute restaurants that we didn't have time to visit
The Arena Hotel is a fine hotel. It's not fancy, and is a bit dated. I had a group of 6 high school girls and another mom with me. We spent the night there before a conference at the SAP Center. It was perfectly fine for our needs. They had free wifi that worked well in the rooms and a full breakfast; eggs, bacon, sausage, cottage cheese (canned) fruit, biscuits and gravy, coffee, juice, etc. etc. We walked less than 5 minutes to the SAP Center for the event. Great location! The hotel let us leave our van in the parking lot while we went to the event. Free parking! There is a Whole Foods grocery store extraordinaire with prepared foods, fruits, veggies, and a host of other products. We stopped there and picked up salads for lunch, and picked up some pizzas and snacks for the car ride back to Los Angeles. If you are a picky person who likes a hotel where everything looks brand new, this is not the place for you. If you want a clean, safe, well located hotel with free full breakfast, free wifi and free parking, this is your place!

Good, basic hotel near the SAP Arena

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: The price is good for what you get.
Cons: Fresh fruit, instead of canned, should be served at the complimentary breakfast. The carpets should be replaced throughout the entire hotel.
Location: The hotel is right next to a CVS drug store, near the SAP Arena, a Whole Foods market, the Diridon Station, and several small shops and restaurants.
This is an adequate, basic hotel, located near the SAP Arena. It is right next to a CVS, near a Whole Foods market, and close to many small coffee shops and/or cafes. The hotel isn't fancy, but is basically adequate all around. Our king room with Jacuzzi was okay, again nothing fancy, but adequate. There is plenty of parking for hotel guests.

Unknown treasure.

I booked this hotel primarily on travel convience. When I arrive I was really impressed by decor. I had read comments about how it is an older hotel. It is a bit older, but they definitely keep it up. Floor 3 foyer area is lined with mirrors that are very clean. There's a small meeting desk with nice office chairs. When I enetered my room I was excited to see the room was truly large. Instead of in newer hotels the king room is smaller than a double. The vanity is a woman's dream. The jacuzzi tub was very comfortable. I enjoyed it very much. An amenity to the bathroom is the heat lamp that warns the bathroom. The bed was a bit hard for my taste but I was able to sleep. They included a microwave, fridge, plates, bowls, a two seater dining table, and a desk area. Still with plenty of room for a rollaway bed. CVS is literally right next door and maybe 150 feet from the entrance to the hotel. The experience was great.

Location: The best things about this hotel are the price and location - very convenient to the CalTrain and other areas of interest. The staff was very nice.

Past it's prime, but they're nice there

It's not a horrible place, but run down in common areas. Some attempt at rejuvenating the rooms, but this place feels old and surprisingly low quality for what we've picked up on expedia recently. Not a fleabag, but we'd rather have stayed at a famous brand hotel.

Next to SAP Center

Pros: Proximity to see the Sharks play
Cons: Decor is a little outdated, but it was still comfortable.
Free parking, staff is kind. Clean rooms and big jacuzzi tubs. Breakfast is plenty, hot dishes served. Walking distance to the SAP Center and whole foods is next door. Rooms had a mini kitchenette with a stove and microwave and fridge! Area was nice. About 5 min drive to downtown.

nice older hotel.

Pros: The standard rooms with two beds were big and they had plenty of free parking.
Cons: The pillows were not soft.
Location: The hotel is walking distance to the SAP Center home of the San Jose Sharks. This was very important to me since I am a big Hockey fan.
Clean hotel with friendly staff. I especially enjoyed the the size of the rooms. breakfast was provided at no extra cost.

This hotel is dirty and it is overpriced

It was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in, it was overpriced, room was not clean, and it is obviously in need of major renovation, my room was on the street side and it was very noisy. Hotel from hell

Hotel is in need of upgrading. Shower only had cold water, leaf blowing and landscaping started before 7am. Old tv and furniture. Bed was comfortable though so that was good.
