“great reasonsble stay”

“Suitable for travel to Morgan Hill”

The breakfast was 'okay', not anything special: They offer cereals, fruit, beverages, do-it-yourself waffles and scrambled eggs. The facilities are nice and well-maintained. Pool is tiny but clean. Our check-in was smooth and the lady was helpful with a last-minute change we needed for our son. The proximity to the sports area across the street makes for a lot of weekend traffic. There's not much to do or see nearby. A Safeway is across the freeway (Hwy 101 on Tennant) and having a small refrigerator and microwave can help if you have kids.

Area recommendations

Downtown Morgan Hill for the shops and dining. San Martin (about 2 miles) for wineries.

“Nice Hotel while on the road”

We stayed at this hotel as a halfway point between home and Carmel. It was comfortable and affordable. The small gym is a nice plus as well.

“Pleasant”

I live in Santa Rosa. When I drive to San Jose and stay over night, this is the hotel I would choose. The rooms are comfortable and resonably equipped with refrigerator and Microwave. Hotel is located close to the freeway, but not downtown Morgan Hill. I realy enjoy staying there.

“I'll be back here again”

We checked in at 2am and Larry was very helpful to get checked in quickly. The room was very large and the suite section helped tremendously. The little things such as iron/ironing board, fan in the bathroom, good water pressure, etc were all there. Breakfast was satisfying every morning. I forgot some toiletry items that the staff was happy to provide. Great stay and I'll be back again.

“Check-in could definitely use improvement.”

In my opinion if you're working in the hospitality industry you need to be friendly towards your patrons. My only complaint about this hotel is the front desk staff. The older gentleman is rude and I just didn't get a warm feeling from the younger gentleman (he sounded more like he was asking questions because he had to rather than because he cared). Check-in took a lot longer than it should have. If an employee is at the front desk during check-in time I expect to be checked-in by that person. The older gentleman was there, but made me wait for the lady to get back to the desk. At least she was nice. The older gentleman gave her a bad time as well. The room was what I expected (clean, floor not sticky) and the mattress was very comfortable (closer to firm than spongy). The fridge did not get very cold, but it also did not make any noise during the night. The hotel is about a quarter mile from US101 and I was able to hear trucks at night even with the fan on. We were in an even numbered room. Perhaps an odd numbered room would have been quieter. Make sure you request a room away from the stairs and ice machine (doors bang shut). The fitness center had a universal weight machine (not enough for a complete workout), treadmill, and exercise bike. There was also a dry sauna (a nice touch). The pool and hot tub looked clean (I didn't use them). Breakfast was what you'd expect for a continental breakfast. Lots of carbs, not much else. Make-your-own waffle machine was nice.

Area recommendations

Gilroy Gardens (Gilroy) and Sleepy Hollow Park (San Jose) are great places to take the kids (3 years to 10 years old). MyPizza (Morgan Hill) makes excellent pizza.

“Great service!!”

“Intend on returning”

The room was comfortable, spacious, quiet, affordable and clean. The hotel has a fitness room, pool and hottub, we especially enjoyed the Hottub in the late evening, we had it all to ourselves and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus.

Traveler's tip

Hotel is close to Downtown Morgan Hill and Gilroy shopping outlets. In addition, you can purchase fresh and delicious strawberries and pick cherries June thru July.
