“It was just ok.”

It was ok. Hotel. but not realy impressed as I was expecting, but Im sure I will go back to this Hotel, because the location, and nice people.

All San Jose is beatiful.

When to go

Around this time, November or December is nice to see all the leafs falling. still not to cold and you can enjoy the outside activities.

“Location, Location!”

This hotel was conveniently located close to much of Downtown San Jose. We were in San Jose for a UFC event and we walked to HP Pavilion. It took about 15 minutes but saved us from having to pay parking. I would stay here again!

Area recommendations

Cesar Chavez Plaza is very cool. There are tons of places to eat and they have a ice skating during the winter.

“Don't go till the construction ends!”

The room was good, but the hotel itself is going under a change. Lots of construction and the hotel shouldn't be open during this renovation

“House keeping”

I'm not a picky traveler by far, but when both sheets (flat and fitted) are stained after house keeping cleaned the room for me, I was not a happy traveler. The night manager did come up to see and change the sheets, that was a plus Second, somehow my green sweats were picked up by the house keeping staff, when all the sheets in the hotel are white, boggles my mind. .

“Room for improvement”

It's a good overall hotel except that due to renovation there was no restaurant. But there are quite a few eateries close by. They do have a continental breakfast, but there is a charge for this which in most hotels they do not. Only problem I had was that the blow dryer didn't work.

“Awful”

$19 a day for parking is pretty steep. Internet surcharge (come on, get with the program people!) But, neither of those two things compares with my experience with this hotel. Upon arriving we learned that the hotel was actually under construction and that they had demolished part of the lobby/restaurant area. This construction was neither advertised on Expedia nor the Hotel website. We went to our room only too find that the hallway (and the elevator) smelled of solvents (painting not cleaning). My mother is extremely allergic to painting solvents (can't be anywhere near the house when it is painted), so we decided to see what we could do to get out of the reservation. We found the staff very unhelpful and ended up leaving very upset (and exhausted as we had been driving most of the day). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Perhaps when it is restored and the staff replaced it will be an acceptable hotel, but I cannot reflect positively on it at this point.

“Convenient but not”

The hotel was extremely convenient. We were awakened at 8 am on Saturday morning by workers using equipment on the exterior of the building right outside of our window. They were using some kind of lift and talking loudly. It sucked as a wake up call. The hotel was undergoing renovations and so there was no lounge, in spite of the signage that still says there is.

“Very adequate for a short stay.”

All was clean, comfortable, and very close to the Convention Center (where I needed to be). Not plush, but more than adequate. Good food/drinks. Employees very helpful and more than willing to please. Would stay again if I need to be downtown San Jose.

“Great Value, Great Location”

Walking distance to great food *Highly recommend Los Cubanos* and it is across the street from the convention center, and a light rail stop. Convenient, clean, GREAT customer service and overall enjoyed our stay.
