“Friendly, Helpful Staff”
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location on main access with a flower and grocery mart across the street. Also across the street was a nice coffee and donut shop. Also gas station. The condition of the room was slightly run down but it felt clean.
“"Quality" has gone down”
I had reviewed this Quality Inn on Trip Advisor a year or so ago and rated it fairly high. At the time, I was impressed with the overall condition and service of the hotel. Unfortunately, since then both have slipped. My room felt grungy, with worn furniture, bed spread, etc. It had an unpleasant odor and during the night the heater rattled like a china closet in an earthquake. The bed, however, was comfortable and I was able to get a good night's slip despite the noisy heater. I didn't partake of the breakfast buffet on this trip, so have no comment on that.
“Nice and cheap near Stanford”
OK, it isn't the Ritz Carlton, but it is affordable, clean, and comfortable. My single complaint was with the relatively low water pressure in the shower but heck, I've had that at far more expensive hotels too. It was quiet with plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The neighborhood felt safe. All in all a fine travel deal.
“Impressed”
Upgrade when booked room was near loud neighbors (they quieted down). Quiet heater. Windows open.Lots of pillows. Great front desk. Nice touch such as cotton balls and qtips. Off the main highway. Definitelty would recommend this hotel. The only negative was that some of the rooms seemed crammed into the corners so entrance doors are very close. Just avoid those rooms and you can't lose.
“A Days Inn with a higher price”
Room was clean. But everything looks old - the building might be at least tens of years and never remodelled. The faucets, the bath tub, all look very old. One good thing is that they have microwave and fridge at a corner of the room. But that corner really makes you think that is an abandoned room. Also, I guess I just don't like this kind of two-story building where your have outside air in the hallway. It is like a Days Inn with a higher price.
“Best value around”
I am in Palo Alto for business several times a year. There is a lot of motels in the area, I stayed in several. Motels that are 10$ per night cheaper are more like twice worse - in terms of breakfast, internet, shower/bathtube and other small details. Stanford Inn is somewhat better in details, but not twice, as price suggests, and I don't need a pool anyway.
“Basic room, outdated TV”
This hotel was rated 2.5 stars according to the website, but I think it was closer to 2 starts. It was a basic room. The TV was old, the bathroom was old and was slightly musty because of poor ventilation. The decor was outdated. Given the price we paid and star rating, I was expecting something a little more updated and comfortable. I've stayed at other Quality Inns before and this one was not as good as the other locations.
“Would stay there again”
The motel was nicer than we expected it to be. It was clean, and it was quiet even though it seemed to be at or near capacity. The breakfast was the weakest point, but we managed. The desk staff was very helpful and responsive. The light over the bed was not working, and someone came right up to attend to it. We would happily stay there again.
“Quality at a good price”
They don't have a pool. They only have one ice machine. But the the place is comfortable and located centrally for the entire south Bay area.
“Palo Alto Quality Inn”
This hotel is small and very convenient to Sites in Palo Alto CA
