こぎれいなモーテル風ホテル

Posted Feb 5, 2015

zen hotel visit

We really enjoyed our stay. I enjoyed the service and the peaceful atmosphere. The fitness room was perfect. We loved opening our back door to listen to the water features. I would recommend this hotel to other guests. it was also so conveniently located near the stanford campus where we were visiting our son.

Comfortable sleep, great breakfast

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed, quiet, great toiletries
Cons: The shower was slightly less than clean with a black hair on the shower wall.
Location: Walgreens directly across in one direction. The Tesla showroom half block away, half block another direction Tofu Village and 2 Japanese restaurants
Stayed at the Zen 2 nights while attending a nearby conference. The room was quiet and bed comfortable. The hot breakfast each morning was great and overall it was a comfortable stay. Information and help from front desk staff vRiable, with an extremely helpful ay person, less so at night. All in all very pleasant

Comfortable hotel in Mid-Peninsula area

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Small scale, free hot breakfast buffet, micro and fridge in room, water features in the parking area give a calming vibe, parking is free
Cons: The second floor rooms are accessible only by stair. If your luggage is heavy or bulky, or don't like stairs, ask for a ground floor room.
Location: Close to Stanford and other Mid-Peninsula locations, lots of coffee and restaurants in walking distance, Walgreens next door, as is the Tesla dealer!!
Very nice, and comfortable hotel. I stayed 3 nights for a combo of personal and business. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Zen is a renovated older hotel, mostly one story with some rooms on a second floor. Thoughtful use of new finishes, fixtures with a calming, modern feel. Comfy beds and lots of pillows. Great desk and chair for work if needed. My room faced away from El Camino and did not have any issues with noise at night. I noticed that the coffee maker was not working, but they immediately removed the unit and replaced it with a working model with a nice letter apologizing for the inconvenience. The hot breakfast buffet was tasty and they serve Peet's Coffee. After checking out, I realized I had left my glasses in the room. I called, and they immediately checked the room and found the glasses. They held them for me at the front office until I could retrieve them. Great service!!

A hidden gem that is a great value

Posted Nov 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Zen hotel is a small motel that doesn't look like much from the road, but look are certainly deceiving in this case. The rooms were very well maintained, comfortable, quiet and peaceful. It is very close to Stanford's campus. Not a lot of food options in the immediate area, but easy to get near campus where we found plenty of places to eat. This hotel was surprisingly nice and comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone, as well as stay here on our next visit. Amazing room
