“Low Cost Hotel Not Worth Staying at again”
This hotel has seen better days. The wallpaper trim was torn in a lot of places. The walls had a lot of dings in them. The closet had been redone, but where the closet walls joined the main wall had never been filled with drywall mud. None of the lights in the room worked other than the one controlled with the switch at the door to the room. I could put up with all of that, and would have stayed there again, except for the following bit. The last morning I stayed there, the shower curtain rod was starting to come loose from the walls. i was afraid that it was going to fall down, and didn't want to be charged for any damage that would have resulted. The rod had apparently started to come loose while the room was being cleaned the previous day while I was at work. That was the straw that broke the camels back.
Breakfast was available. It consisted of dry cereal dispensed from large plastic containers, and pastries packaged in plastic. I like having a decent breakfast, and never did eat breakfast at the hotel.
The staff was very friendly. Despite the very poor maintenance of the room, it was clean.
For not a lot more money, Sunnyvale has very acceptable hotels available, and I won't be staying at the Travel Inn again.
