Carletta’s Cantina (Restaurant): Our restaurant offers only the freshest organic produce utilising local farms and the abundant seafood that Nicaragua’s Pacific ocean provides. The restaurant is open for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner starting at 7am. “Freddy’s Bar”: After an exhausting day at the beach or taking part in one of the many available activities, don’t miss San Juan Del Sur’s most tantalizing sunset views at our pool bar each and every evening. We’ll have happy hour specials waiting for you daily in our fully stocked bar. Also be sure to try the award-winning Flor de Cana rum, produced locally and being consumed all around the globe. Infinity Pool: Lounge around in the sun, swim laps or sit and have a cocktail on our specially designed and built-in pool seats. We have given plenty of depth in the pool so that it stays cool throughout the hot Nicaraguan days. Other Features:-Wireless internet, Big screen projector, shuttle service to and from the town (5 minutes away) and local beaches (for a small fee), airport transportation to and from Managua International Airport, (US$80 per trip). Casa de Olas is located just outside of San Juan del Sur proper and while it is walkable we are on a hill which can make it difficult. We are happy to provide lifts into town upon request.

Also note that our showers are 'tropical' which means the temperature depends on the sun that day. Guests who require hot showers, please note that we do not have a water heater at present.

Casa de Olas is unique in that we attract a wide range of guests from backpackers, couples and groups of all ages. We are a lively hotel with the bar staying open until 11-12pm. If you are not comfortable with communal areas and a diverse rage of guests we would advise against staying with us.

Casa de Olas has a full kitchen with our Chef Sorida preparing the evening meals and Arielia the best pancakes and Rancheros ever. The pancakes breakfast is included in the room charge while additional breakfast items can be purchased for very reasonable prices.

Typically guests make their own plans for lunch as they explore the surrounding area. We have kitchen facilities that can be used by guests during the day.

The evening meal is served 'family style' which means guests tend to eat together as a single group. This creates a great atmosphere amongst the guests.
