Great Inn with many options for fun!

Posted May 9, 2015
Place is just the right size, with not too many rooms, so it feels quite intimate. Our room was perfect with king sized bed, fireplace, flat screen TV and hot tub. Nice touch was a sink in the room above refrigerator. The bathroom is large with 2 sinks and nice large shower. The Inn has good bones and has lots of beautful wood representative of the Craftsman era of building. BUT, the best thing about the Inn is its location. Its stategic, as its approx 1,5 miles away from the small community of Avila Beach, which can get very crowded during the day with beach folks and tourists. So, the Inn is far enough away from the busy little beach, yet close enough that you can ride their bicycles (free at the Inn) to Avila Beach, or walk, via the Bob Jones bike trail (paved) that is literally a stone's throw from the Inn. You can also walk or ride bikes to the "Avila Barn" (less than a mile) where fresh fruits/vegetables and bread is baked every day. Interested in a hike that will take you to a top of a mountain with wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean? If so, just across the street from the Avila Village Inn is Sycamore Springs, where you can treat yourself to natural hot springs and a wonderul massage, or bypass the hottubs and take the trail to the top of the mountain (1/2 mile strenuous hike). Or, if you want, you can hop in your car and travel a short 2 mile distance to near by Shell Beach for a larger version of Avila Beach. ..

Quiet hotel near woods

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Location: Biking, hiking to beach. Athletic club next door. Market and restaurant nearby.
Always a lovely place to stay. The desk manager even paired us up for a bike ride along the adjacent trail. Lovely weekend.

Great Inn Close to Avila Beach

Posted May 2, 2015
Cons: Breakfast could be a little more creative/healthy.
Location: Avila Beach, Avila Golf Course
I always stay at this small inn whenever I visit the San Luis Obispo Area. The rooms are great and you can get one with a jacuzzi on the balcony. It is quiet, they have a club next door that you can use for free and their is a Market and Grill (2 min walk) which serves great food. It is also right on a walking path which goes by the golf course and ends at Avila Beach. Highly recommended.

Perfect hotel for a romantic getaway

Posted May 2, 2015
My boyfriend and I stay at Avila Village Inn when we visit the coast. We love it there! The staff is super friendly and always available to support. It's located next to a trail which leads straight to the beach. And there's a hot tub on the patio...need I say more?!

Brilliant hotel and Staff. Ideal for relaxing stop over between LA. and San Francisco or a longer stay at Avila beach. Great location we loaned the free bikes for an brilliant cycle ride to the beach on a dedicated cycle path ( recommend ). Everything is high quality except the plastic plates and cutlery for breakfast?

Ideal für diejenigen, die etwas abseits vom Trubel Ruhe genießen wollen. Professionelles Personal. Selbst für amerikanische Verhältnisse kein gutes Frühstück.

Very nice, quiet place.

Pros: A nice warm feeling facility.
Only stayed one night but I would stay again. It is over a mile from the beach but it makes it much more private than most of the hotels on the beach. They have a nice bike/walking trail that goes from the hotel all the way to the beach. It winds through the trees and comes out at the golf course. The hotel has 4 bikes that are free to their guests.
